Since It Should Be Christmas Every Day

With losing my old cat on Christmas Eve, I lost some momentum sharing Christmas gifts and such. I just delivered my last gift though and thought I should go back and find some pictures.

I knit a couple of these cute sweater ornaments and had a lot of fun making them. They are a great way to use up small amounts of handspun and are the perfect size to stick a gift card into. I should be making these all summer so I'm stocked up for next Christmas. Should, should, should...

I think this mug is identifiable. If the droopy ears don't give her away,

...maybe the side view will ;-).

"Hey, I'm not fat. I'm fluffy!"

I loved how this Cotswold ewe turned out. Each felted (and real) sheep has a completely different personality. I'm not sure how that happens, but it does. I don't question it, but it sometimes makes them hard to send away. The felted sheep, that is. If Graham Lamb** or Brat Willard shows up on someone's doorstep...

I didn't get a great picture of her curly top...and now that I think about it, I should have made tiny dreadlocks instead of curls. I'll work on that. Maybe I can retrofit her with some :-).

I like the first picture best, but I'm not sure why. It's definitely "busy". Probably too busy, but maybe I'm liking the extra background just because it's from a favorite spot in our house.

The last picture is almost the same view, but without all the extra stuff and colors. Do you find the first white sheep picture too distracting? Like if you were looking on etsy and there were actually some Punkin's Patch felted sheep on there ;-).

Should, should, should...

** Stay tuned for a high fivin' "we outsmarted Graham post". That is if we can actually outsmart him.

Shut up!

I like the first one the best, I don't think it is too busy. But you don't really need to post them on etsy. You can just sell them directly to me. :)

I guess I do find the first one a bit busy...the third one is very nice.

I'd love a felted sheep but I'd have to keep it out of reach of my resident kitty who thinks everything is a chew toy, especially wooden knitting needles.

I agree with Christine. I like the first photo. It has a warm atmosphere.
If Christine doesn't clean you out before you put them on etsy, I want some of those precious sheep, too!

I cherish my felted Renny! And the sheep family I bought from you went to the most perfect loving home, as she had lost her four sheep to a pack of coyotes. She loved them so much they sit on her mantle in her living room!

I love Renny with her 2012 figure! She should have a little heart tattoo where her boo-boo once was ;-) Her story makes for wonderful heartfelt conversation.
I agree with Christine...... all those sheep should have my zip code :-)

I like the first picture best -- the light looks a bit different to me. As with everyone else -- just send those felted sheep my way! (Especially a Renny one)

I like them all. They are wonderfull. My handmade sheeps are a little bit different, not felted. But I will try to make them also with curls.

I like the first one. It adds some contrast to the all white sheep.
You sure have the knack. These little minis are really cute. You won't have any trouble selling them.
Just adorable... the little sweater too.

I like the first one best because the color makes it feel warmer, but the third one is closer and shows the detail of her face and ears a little crisper.

I think there will never be an inventory of felted sheep for you to list - it will be "make them as fast as I can for the person who ordered them".

Glad you are felting! The mini Renny looks just like the real thing! You are so good at capturing their personalities.

The sheep are fabulous. Each picture is wonderful. Like many others, I do like the pictures with a little bit of 'other stuff' in them. The only thing I have a question about is the size - the pictures don't give me much of a clue about how small or large the darling, cut, huggable, lovable sheep might be.

I don't think the first one is too busy at all. The colors are muted and still give it a 'natural' look. They're all adorable. What do you use for the legs on the standing sheep?

I agree with Christine. The first one is the best. I love your felted sheep!

I wish you a great weekend

Oh-I know exactly how you feel about personality!

It happens all the time to me!
I have SUCH a hard time sending some of my creations away. Even hats!

These are simply beautiful!

I don't find the first one too busy-there is something about the leaves in the foreground I really like. While I can see why it is hard to let them go, you really need to be getting those sheep up on Etsy because I NEED one!!!

so sorry to hear about your elderly kitty passing on Christmas Eve. We had a similar loss in our extended cat family. My mother's elderly cat passed away Christmas Day. She lived with my sister in Woodford Co.

I would be delighted to receive a Christmas present in February like that. You are so talented.

I love hearing everyone's view points on the photos. Sometimes (a lot) I get locked in on something and can't see the whole picture. Thanks!

The legs are a wire base attached to the core of the sheep's body. I haven't figured out any other way to make them that doesn't end up too "posty" or stiff. If anyone has any suggestions, let us know.

And thanks for the encouragement to make more sheep :-). I enjoy making them, but just don't find the time. Why is that?!?

Do you sell your felted sheep? If so, how much for the Cotswold? I fell in love at first sight.
