I'm Developing An Eye Twitch

A more than a few stomach twitches.  Yesterday Maisie started sneezing and then started coughing.  My two thoughts were she'd gotten too stressed going to the clinic (which I thought was pretty unlikely) or she was trying to cough up the twine (which I also thought was pretty unlikely).  No temp and acting fine...

This morning she was still sneezing and I thought she was breathing funny.  I called our local vet and he stopped by on his way into town.  He checked her all over.  Still acting okay, no temp, lungs sounded fine...but she was still sneezing.

His conclusion?  He thinks it's unrelated to the the twine and that she's stuck something up her nose.

Would someone just shoot me...

On the Iknitarod front, I've still not given up even though I'm so far behind that it may be inevitable.  I have two rows to knit and then a loooong bind off...and I ran out of yarn again.  Since I couldn't sleep, I spun more yarn in the wee hours of the morning and plied it when I came in for lunch.  Worst case finish will be at least I've gotten way better at spinning this style yarn.  I'm very happy with the latest 60 yards :-).

Okay, headed out to check Maisie again and then back to Kathy's for afternoon shearing.

Oh my gosh, I can see Herbert Lom with his twitchy eye and hysterical, panicky giggle. Maisie, Maisie...... It's a good thing she's a sheep and you'll never be handing her the car keys....

Well now if she would just sneeze it up that would be just fine. No wonder you can't sleep. Hugs for you both.

I think Maisie has your number, and she is using it for all it's worth. She probably just has some dust or maybe a piece of hay up her nose. Is she still eating good? And normal poop? All other signs seem normal, did vet give you any idea how long before any adverse signs would show up from the twine?

Sounds like Maisie has a full-on case of toddlerhood. Everything goes in her mouth or up her nose. At least she won't be putting things in her ears. Or maybe she will. :-) The Amazin' Maisie. Hang in there, Sara. I'm guessing she's going to be the kid that gives you extra gray hair!

Goodness- Maisie needs to come with her own warning label! :)

We develop a weird paranoia when we know something has happened....but it isn't manifesting itself when we think it should, might, possibly, maybe argghh! I think of you and Maisie a lot and hope the longer she goes without symptoms the more likely her stomach has ensheathed the twine and it is stable!!

Sara, I was in a meeting, which was obviously boring, when I read this post. Thought I was gonna choke on my coffee - laughing! Oh my, Miss Maisie, you're a hand full! This must be the a special case of a sheepie's "terrible two's"!? !?! Introduce her to pepper :-) She'll blow that straw (?) right out :-o

So has Maisie officially taken the "Most Mischievous Sheep" baton from Graham Lamb?
