The Colors I Love

I grew a few sunflowers this year. Next year I'm growing many more.

I love their colors and sizes and watching the birds feast.

And the bees! I haven't see our bees out anywhere in weeks it's seemed like. The hot dry weather has driven them to sources off the farm - bees can work a 3 mile radius. I'm sure they are happy the sunflowers are blooming too.

If you asked me what my favorite colors are, I'd probably say blues and greens. However (and no, I didn't take these particular blossoms away from their respective bees ;-), look at the woven shawl hanging on the loom.

A perfect match!

That is a beautiful woven shawl. I luv the warmer colours like golds, oranges and reds myself.

That shawl is B.E.A.U.T.I.F.L.!!!! And it matches the sunflowers perfectly.

Like you I enjoy sunflowers they seem so happy and delighted in everyday. Even the wild ones.

The sunflower was a favorite of St. Julie's. She enjoyed it so because instead of casting eyes down, it would lift heads upward. Your photos and bouquet make all of us smile ;-)

Oh, yes, those are the colors on my mind. I would say, too, that blues 'n greens are my colors. It must be the time of year that shifts the mind's color focus. Lovely capture of shades of promise of the coming season.

Sunflowers are so beautiful! I grew a few this year, also and want to grow many more next year.
I saw some unusual birds eating the seeds a few weeks ago.

The shawl on the loom is so pretty!
Have a great weekend.
