Un-Yarning Along

I'm a firm believer in setting yourself up to succeed...but I only let myself knit at night, after dinner, when I'm tired.  It was 63 degrees today.  I worked until 4:00 and grabbed my knitting bag and headed for the Grahaminator (my favorite knitting spot).  Getting such an early start I was sure to go far.  And I did.

And then I noticed that I'd doubled up a row the night before...and had to frog four rows.  Four rows on a hat is no big deal to most knitters, but I'm a Slow Knitter.  Nothing else to do though.  And then June rolled over on her back looking like my knitting was killing her...and I had to laugh.

At least the scenery was nice :-).

I think I'm back on track, but I'll give it a good double check tonight after dinner.  I decided to have a margarita.  That can only help, right?

I'm currently listening to The Readers of Broken Wheel Recommend by Katarina Bivald.  It's taken me a bit to get into it, but it's starting to get interesting.

Beautiful hat pattern and colors! June is a riot. My dog Ginger does that when she wants attention and a belly rub. And um,yes, a margarita will make everything better.

Looking good! June feels safe there...belly up in a good sign and such a fun way to see a pup sleep! Margaritas make me sleepy:)

Margaritas always help me....forget how much I had to Tink/Frog. June! Such a puppy! The scenery is beautiful and so is the hat pattern :)

Your June is precious! I love the colors on the hat and the scenery is the most special to me!

Margaritas are always good for knitting. Or maybe just good for ignoring those pesky mistakes and just carrying on. I listened to *Broken Wheel* last year when I really needed something soft and light. And yes...you do have a beautiful view to knit by!

Sandy completely agrees about the margarita. :)

I love the colors in the hat.

Beautiful colors and pattern.
I am a slow knitter as well so I can sympathize about the frogging. I go to two knitting groups and that really helps to make time to get more done.
When I knit at home though there is more insulation added with the cat fur from the kitties on my lap.

The hat is looking great! I will be curious to see it done. I really enjoyed Broken Wheel book. I found the pace, the events, and characters all a bit of fresh air and enjoyed how they all come together.

The WIP hat is very pretty. So is June.

Don't you think that on days when one must tink, or especially when one must frog, that one should "youthen" the time spent so doing? That would get me at least a decade's reprieve!

Great pattern and colours, I must try more colourwork sometime.
