Bright Lights, Big City

My latest felted sheep is headed to Nashville for the 2010 American Sheep Industry annual meeting.

I love the bokeh of the winter lights in the wool house.

The last time I tried to make a non "fiber" sheep, someone complained that she was too fat.

I tried, but I guess I can only make what I know.

Ewes not fat, ewes just fluffy ;-).

Oooh, that's VERY nice! What do you use for a "frame," and legs? I'm feeling a hankering to make a whole horse now, not just the head and neck!

Fluffy is a very politically correct word ewe know;) Love that sheep!!

I think that sheep needs a Cincinnati zip code ;-). She has plenty of relatives here to stay with! I think the bokeh technique provides a very Effective Resolution. Once again, the work reflects the heart of the artist...you make what you dearly love.

Very nice! She might like to live down here in East Tennessee. :)

About 20 yrs. ago I made a quilted patchwork sheep to sit by my tree. One of my daughters has it now...I think.

Love the ewe.

OK...I'm sure it's just my addled brain, but what do you mean by "non-fiber" sheep? It looks to me likes she's needle felted. What ever you used, she's awesome!

The frame is wire.

Non-fiber as is a meat sheep breed - hamp, suffolk... Apparently in "real" life they are tall and skinny ;-).

Meat sheep tall and skinny? Huh? Someone hasn't been to a 4-H auction!

Your felted sheep is exceptional. You are one talented woman!

By the way, I loved the Christmas pony. A great form of exercise.
