I have no words. Or too many words. That don't even make sense in my head, much less in print. I am horribly Sad. Frustrated. Discouraged. Overwhelmed. Hopeless. I'm also pretty simple minded. Like a sheep. Or maybe a dog. Definitely not smart enough to be a cat. I can't figure this all out.
(Deleted blah blah blah blah blah blah blah...and returned to first paragraph...)
Everybody take care of each other. The end. And if you need to take a break and sit out in the field with Hank...
...maybe don't sit near Maisie ;-).
Edited to add: Everything fine here. Hank is keeping us all as safe and secure as he can. I'm just so saddened by this latest act of hatred and violence.

I really need to sit with Hank and hug a sheep. Preferably not Maisie.
Thank you for your post.
If more people had a Hank, there would be less of the chaos that has beset the world.
I wish I could hug Hank! Usually I get the urge to hug a horse, but any sweet four legged fuzzy being would be wonderful. So much chaos to try and understand.
Thank you for your blog, and inviting us to sit in your field at this sad time! Hank is one of the good guys :-) Take care, hugs from one of your blog readers in Sweden.
Thank you for your blog and a place of peace, I am sad, mad and frustrated.
i hug my family and my cats but cannot begin to understand this madness.
I'm 100% sure we all knew what you were getting at without words. Hopefully, tomorrow or next week or next month will be better. This can't keep on happening.
You said it perfectly. I've tried to post something for two days now, and nothing seems worth posting. Wish I could hug Hank too.
Amen, sister! I can’t even begin to imagine the suffering of those who were there, who lost loved ones, whose lives are barely above flatline, or who have someone in such precarious states. May God give the grieving comfort, and the caregivers wisdom and skill. It is all
so awful. But thank you for your peaceful photos.
sittin' in the field with you hugging Hank. Such sadness. Such stupidity. It is so hard not to feel hopeless. I might even
hug Maisie. :) Thank you for sharing your life with us.
From down here in Ozland, it all just seems so incomprehensible. I think of all those people who have lost loved ones or who will suffer on perhaps for years with these pointless injuries, and I have no words. <3
Everybody needs a Hank to hug in these sad times.
OK so I guess I'm the cluless one who for a moment thought something had happened to Hank! Whew! The horrors of the worl seem to roll over us daily of late. Your blog is indeed a refuge.❤️
No, no, no I've had more than you worried something had happened to Hank. I am so sorry about that :-(.
I think we all need more time in a field or on a mountain top to remember the good in our world! Then we need to carry those feelings into our world to the good. Thank you
The world has gone crazy anymore. That's why I am an ostrich and keep myself in denial!
The world is spinning out of control. Thankfully our animals give us such comfort. Your photos give me solace. I have a friend who was hit by shrapnel but is now home recuperating.... traumatizing event . She is also still having treatments for breast cancer. Life can truly be mystifying. And so mean. Bless all the good people in the world who want nothing more than to do good in this world
And bless the animals for they are such innocents.
I so agree with you. It's hard to understand why someone would what he did, hurting people he didn't know. It's so senseless and it has caused so much heartache for people.
Looks like Hank knew you were upset and was keeping an eye on you.
Nothing beats a field of sheep and a dog to free the spirit from all the badness in the world. <3
