Well, that's sort of a lie, but it made a good title after yesterday's post. I did actually spin some yarn over the last two days, but if I spun anything else all summer...I can't think of what it was :-/. I got my Jared shawl knit though and it turned out exactly how I'd hoped, so that's a win. I'll share some pictures of that on a later post.
This is a small skein of Levi that I spun for a special project...that has been lost in the mail for well over a month now. I don't feel quite as bad about that since I found out that the USPS has also lost our entire county's property tax bills too, but it's still very frustrating. That being said, I'd probably look elsewhere for holiday shipping. Seems to be some serious mail issues currently.

We have had issues with the post office for years here. They just do not seem to have the work ethic that they used to. I keep hearing the excuse that they are understaffed and too many substitute carriers who do not care.
I read years ago that some nitwit with authority had all the sorting machines in USPS post offices destroyed so no wonder the USPS isn't very efficient any longer. A friend's quilt was lost by the USPS hub in Atlanta. Tragic.
This is looking like the popular "answer" and that starts me on a path of other nefarious reasons. I am so sad about your friend's quilt. That's heartbreaking :-(.
We are seeing serious mail issues here also. That is a company which needs to be completely reworked.
The mail is very slow here. I am glad you are still spinning!
If the property tax bills are lost, then does that mean no property taxes this year?? One could only hope...
Beautiful skein
