I'd hoped the greenhouse rosemary would either send up some new growth from the bottom this spring or that the cutting it tried to give me would root, but neither happened. I carefully cut off the two spider cocoons and pulled the rest out.
The greenhouse sheep doesn't look quite so lonely now with two tiny new friends...and Possum.
The rosemary in the front is a trailing variety. The rosemary in the back is a more cold tolerant plant, but I'll have to go check the tags to remember the names. I'll try to do better this time around. I miss my huge old friend :-/.

Good Lucky, Sara! It's so hard to lose some of our plants. They are true companions.
I wish you well with the new rosemaries. I have geraniums in the garage for the winter but lost my freesias this past year. I didn't think I had done anything differently but who knows?
Sometimes we must start anew...and it ain't easy:(

I might try rosemary as a house plant. I had one outdoors but it didnt survive. Also want to figure out how to harvest it to put it into a soap or shampoo for hair. Anyone have an idea?
A new plant and lessons learned. Always difficult to have to replace an amazing plant. My rosemary is only three or four years old. It was small when I put it into a larger pot and she grew to fit the space. I have been keeping tabs on your plant and realized last year mine was beginning that journey.
It finally took a while but is slip sliding away and has her CPR and at this point it won't be long .
I have a jar from being dehydrated last year. So I will begin to look for a replacement this Fall . Gardening is most certainly a journey of ups and downs.
