A Hundred Guests In The Wool House

 Those pesky summer visitors ;-).

This is a harmless wolf spider...and about 100 or so of her kids on her back.  Click to biggify.

All spinners and weavers are welcome in the Wool House.  Spiders are beneficial insects.  Don't grab a phone book!

Oh, ick! I once accidentally stepped on a female wolf spider with an egg case on her back and instantly a bazillion tiny baby spiders were running every which direction. Shudder!! May they all stay outside of the house!

Hugs!

While I respect spiders outside, they are not welcome in my home. I love to see their webs especially in the morning dew- what amazing weavers they are!

The Wool house might be a good place for them, we had some in our wood piles when we were seasoning wood to burn,I do know a few people who have had bad bites.

I have been bitten by spiders so many times I am now highly allergic to them.
