In Case You Were Wondering...

...why Comby was all by himself way out in the field on the Christmas card.

Because Comby is frequently out there all by himself!  In fact, pretty much every day.  The weather has to be awfully awful for him to stay holed up in the condo.  Eli, on the other hand, hibernates all winter.  At least during the day.

Actually, Eli hibernates all year now that I think about it ;-D.  And that's why he hasn't made the card in a few years ;-).  He does make almost every night trek out to the barn though, so I'll give him points for that.  Maybe I'll paint a night time card some year :-).

A night-time card would be PERFECT. See; there you go. Paint now; avoid the Christmas rush. ;-)

Wonderful idea to start now and maybe you will have it finished by Dec 1 2017.

Well, there's you theme for the next card. Nighttime! That would be fascinating. I am seeing some bats in the mix.

By the light of the silvery moon. Yes, that would be lovely.

The reason that Comby is placed where he is on the card is because Comby is ... well... outstanding in his field!

I think Alice summed it up quite nicely; Comby is outstanding in his field! What a clever observation! I'm kind of surprised that he chooses such a solitary pastime. I've always heard that male orange/ginger/red/tabby cats are one of the most gregarious cats. Was he that way when Brushy was alive? I think it's so sweet the way he accompanies you, no matter the weather, on your walks. Bless his heart . . . . you are a dear, Comby!
