Uninspiring

This is a beautiful collection of sunflowers and zinnias that I am enjoying immensely and want to make sure I repeat the planting next year, but in an even bigger area...and I can't take a decent picture of them to save my life.

Flat, colorless and uninspiring.

Late summer.

At least I hope it's late.

Sigh...

YES, it is late summer. Yes, yes, yes. School is back in session out here :-)

I am surprised that they are not covered in birds enjoying a feast.
I hate to rush my days but I am more that ready for this heat to depart.

This humidity has me wishing the summer away!

August has a way of washing the vibrancy out of everything. Sometimes even peoples spirits.
I can just picture your lovely garden in all it's colorful glory. Well done.

Well hush my mouth!!! I was just about to sing Oh What a Beautiful Morning .... Cause the sunflower is as high as an elephants eye and it looks like it's climbing clear up to the sky!" I have a wonderful feeling something wonderful is coming your way!!😊💐

What a beautiful combination. I am going to remember it for next summer as well.

Maybe, from the top down?
I hope it's late too and fall ladts a good long time. Too hot to do!

I have trouble taking photos of a bed that is just lovely. The photos never come out at all!

Your flowers are lovely, and they don't look like they are suffering from the zillion degree weather at all. My cleomes are flopping. Heck, in my back yardlet, everything wants to flop from this heat. Even the gazanias (I guess it doesn't stay this hot so long in South Africa?). Praying for a drop in temperature in Savannah, until late September, is hopeless. I just wish the dew point would go below 70.

We're just entering our longest, hottest stretch of the summer here, so it feels like it's just beginning.... :-/

The green just overwhelms the shot, it happens to me too...evening light might be a tad better. BUT I can see they are a beautiful bunch of plants! :)
