Trouble On The Trail

There is trouble on both the Iditarod and Iknitarod Trails this morning.  Heartbreaking on the Iditarod and just frustrating on the Iknitarod.  Here's a couple short clips of Kate and Tilly/Weaslie headed out to the back pond the last week.  Breathe in, breathe out.

So sad to read about the Iditarod news. Can't imagine what would possibly motivate someone to do something like that.

So very sad. Tears for those mushers and their dogs.

So sad. Drunk driving strikes again. Stupid kid.

The criminal was a 26 year old man, not a kid. I hope they throw him into the Bering Sea strapped down to his bleeping snowmobile. I watched Jeff King's interview, his sweet video oh Nash as a puppy, and read the local news report. Then I hugged my dog and cried. It was all so senseless!

Each video I watched made me cry but when I saw there was a video of him heading out I was so excited to watch and thought yay, something happy...and he looked so dejected sitting down on his sled :'-(. The dogs looked like they weren't happy either, probably picking up his emotions. Hopefully he'll have a better day today.

A very nice walk :-)
May today be full of good hews from the trail and calm, productive knitting for all of us Iknitarod-ers!

Tragic news from the Iditarod. It must be very hard for people to continue after such a stupid, senseless act. I hope you have a better, calmer day.

SICKENING......thank God I didn't see any videos, just heard about it on the news but they showed a picture of his dog......more than enough to make me cry. Prayers went out immediately, what else could one do? Nice to see the 'gurls' in the snow, thanks.

After reading your post yesterday morning I checked out the news and was absolutely stunned. What a tragedy! I visited Jeff King's Husky Homestead several years ago and got to hold one of the puppies only 3 weeks old. It was the highlight of our Alaskan vacation.
