From The Back Porch This Morning

I was going to title this post "Could This Be It?" but I'm pretty sure the weather recognizes a dare when it sees one, so discretion being the better part of valor...

Really, there were are (almost did it again!) many things about summer that make some of us us all happy. Thanks for the fun list!  Keep adding to it and we can all check back for updates when summer is finally over ;-).

Random.org picked Jean as the happy winner.  The prize will be a 2016 farm calendar that I am working on now...instead of knitting and reading ;-).

We are so darn beastly hot and humid here these past few days. It's just sucking the fun right out of everything and all I want to do is sit in the air conditioning. I can't say I hate summer but I sure am looking forward to fall.

The weatherman just came on (In KCMO) to say we are having a dive in temps tomorrow, and will need jackets by tomorrow night! Could this be IT??? :-)

Nightime low of 62F in Pooler GA this Sunday. More to the point, today is the last day in the 90s (at least for the next two weeks). For us, mid-80s will be cool. Bliss!

We have a HIGH in the 60s coming up! I am thrilled. Saint Tim is crushed. Sigh...

Congratulations, Jean! I remember when I won Sara's Christmas cards last year; it's so exciting to have such a nice surprise! Just to add my 2 cents to the heat wave-watch, here in the Portland, Oregon area we've got the next 3 days in low to mid 90's, then a possible cool down next week. Ugh! Poor sheep . . . stay cool everyone! (I dislike summer immensely!)

Congratulations, Jean. And WOW, Sara on that awesome image of your paddocks in the last throes of summer (is it?) I live in the Southern Hemisphere and we're entering our summer months now.
