Where Are They Now - Queen Elizabeth

I was going to combine Elizabeth and Jester, but I ended up with a whole series of funny Jester pictures last night, so I'll try to put that together tomorrow.  Elizabeth is doing well and continues to rule Del Boca Vista with an iron hoof.

And her one toof ;-).

But she can still eat pretty well.

And seems quite happy :-).

Reminds me of the Statler Brothers song, Oh Elizabeth..... this would have fit the Sunday Stills Challenge.

"Elizabeth is doing well and continues to rule Del Boca Vista with an iron hoof". . . ."and perhaps, when necessary, with an iron toof as well!"

Yes, she does look pretty happy. And who wouldn't, with the good life you provide on your farm?:-)

Lucky creatures....

She's beautiful, and quite queen like indeed!

Do you feed her gruel or other special food, or does she do fine on grass and hay? I'm thinking of my old gal Annabelle, who is really slowing down this year.

We feed her a pelleted food called "ewe nuggets" that Hallway Feeds in Lexington makes. They are big pellets, about the size of your thumb, and she seems to prefer them to the small "lamb creep" pellets, maybe because they are easier to pick up. Her back teeth are good and she's able to eat them just fine. Her only real problem is her knees/joints. Her legs no longer straighten out all the way so her mobility is limited and that's her biggest complaint with life I believe.

Annabelle's biggest problem is her knees/joints as well. I put her on MSM for awhile but couldn't tell that it made any difference. I need to check her teeth, and will look into ewe nuggets.

Great pictures of HRH! She's looking good and very happy. The special food must be doing the trick. I can relate, all too well, to the joint issues... Give her a hug!

If only we could all be treated so well in our dotage.
My 17 year old cat sympathizes with the knee/joint issues. He would give her a paw/hoof bump but can not be bothered to get out of bed right now. So his is sending her a knowing nod instead.

How old do you figure she is again?

Oh that toof! Precious!
I'm looking forward to tomorrow (Jester).

She does look wonderful :)

She has to be at least 15 or 16. We've had her for almost 12 years now.

Resting and eating with one tooth...what else can we expect in old age. Elizabeth rocks:)
