Dreaming Of Last Week

I think I had thrown a long sleeve flannel shirt on to go out and take this picture of the ponies.

The heat index was 97 here yesterday.  And while I don't really care what the wind chill is in the winter, that heat index in the summer...piling misery upon misery.  Saint Tim says I have SAD.  SUMMER Affected Disorder.

Me, Baaxter, Buddy, Woolliam, Boudreaux, Keebler, Blossom, Lila, Henri and Hank are looking for a charter to Alaska.  Maybe one of those knitting cruises!  And then we could get off at some point and "forget" to get back on ;-).

Come on up north to Hoot's Holler! I have 40 acres of vegetable matter and it is nice and cool here on the big water. It is screaming hot south of Michigan, I have been watching the temps in Nashville and St Augustine.

Yikes. I have said it many times before - I'd rather have -30C than +30C. Good thing I live in the Great White North.

The heat just saps all my energy... hoping for cooler days and nights for you all.

I am entirely with you. I cannot function if the humidity index is over 45. Don't forget to pick me up on your way to the charter. Alaska sounds pretty good right now and it's not even summer!

Green grass and fog last week. Brown and dry this week, but not like you have :-/. It would be a fun ark with everyone on there!

Me too! I'm joining the runaway bunch. Heat is one thing, but the humidity is suffocating. I don't have gills!

Remember "Winter"....There is an Old country Song called Springtime in Alaska. The complete line says "Its springtime in Alaska and its 40 below!" Just a gentle reminder...I am so enjoying the beautiful summer photos and its a marvel to watch Baaxter grow.

What a beautiful photo! I'm with you on that cruise to Alaska. It is stifling here in NC and it's only just begun.
Blessings and keep cool!

This evening is perfect for us, I've got a window open and am hearing a few night-songs, and I realize how much I love it and miss it when the humidity has been what it was this week.

I hope you find some cool-ness too! Enjoy your weekend!!

Where do I sign up? A knitting cruise to Alaska, with sheeps for company? I am there. :-)

I'm good till about 82, and beyond that, no thanks! I am constantly reminding myself that I can be grateful there's no ice on the sidewalks, but somehow that doesn't make up for it being Too Hot.

Much lower temps here in northern VA over the past 2 days.

Yikes! And here I was thinking Kentucky was perfect. Hmmm.

Don't forget to pick me to on the way!
I can hardly deal with 82° anymore. So far, so good this summer here in the Forest. Not as much rain as we would like(never is), but the temps have been cool enough for mother nature to put on the best wild flower show in a long time.
Bring the whole gang! Plenty of green grass and cool temps for all :-D

Our home in South Africa is empty of people at the moment and the temps are apparently -15° C ! (cold for Africans...) You're welcome to pop in there for a month or two! Me, I'm enjoying an East African "winter" of 25 ° C. I don't do cold very well !
