A Blast From The Past

I needed to find a high resolution photograph of Sunshine. I knew which photo I wanted, but hmmm...when was she born? I looked her up on the blog - July 2008. Yikes. 2008? Where on earth would those pictures be?  My photo organizing skills rank right up there with my pantry organization skills.  As in, we could starve to death in this house...with a pantry full of food...that we can't find...

This is a picture of Heidi and Sunshine I copied over from an old blog post.  I re-size all my pictures to a lower resolution before I post them to make them easier for folks with slow internet connections to load them.  I'd like to find this in its original form, but that's a job for another day.  I did find the following photos though (and the one I was looking for, so there! ;-) and while they aren't great pictures, it was sure fun to look back at them and I'm so glad I have them...somewhere.

Emily and Casper Belly

Another one.

A group shot.  I'd forgotten that Clover Belly was that much older then Sunshine and Casper Belly.

Sunshine, for all her problems, lived her life to the fullest.  Frequently just a blur :-).

And cheeky from Day One.  Clover Belly looks like she's not quite sure how to take her!

This all seems like a hundred years ago sometimes.

It is so much fun to see your photos. I'm glad you found them. I totally understand the organization (lack there-of) thing. I have photos on my PC... now I'm using Mac. So, I occasionally make my way upstairs to the dinosaur and crank it up to find what I'm looking for. One day I'll transfer all of those photos!!!

So cute! Makes me dream of having a good camera someday to capture such photos.

That was still my little point and shoot I'm pretty sure. But NOW, with that same camera, I would make sure I watched where the light was shining and changed my ISO setting to better capture the action in low light and better framed the pictures. You don't need a fancy camera to take good pictures :-).

Thanks. I'm just using the camera on my iPad for now. Then I edit. I have a lot to learn, but it is fun.

I remember meeting you for the first time just hours before she was born, so Sunshine always held a special marker in my heart. I remember in the Springtime her winning at King of the Hill and amazed at her tenacity. Then in a heartbeat she was gone.
She was here long enough to plant her little hoof prints in our hearts, for sure.

Great pictures! Such a sentimental journey. It's poetic that Sunshine is a blur in most of the photos...She was here and gone so fast. So glad you have those!

I went back to read the Sunshine story... she was such a special baby! With gorgeous fleece as well!

That hat looks even more beautiful now, that I know the story behind it.

Finding old pictures can be soooooo hard sometimes, why does it have to be that way. I love these shots!
