I found this next to where I was sitting last week. Such a pretty "wooly worm" and properly fitting for a sheep farm, eh? It's actually a Sycamore Tussock Moth Caterpillar. Hopefully you can click to biggify. Sounds like it was a good thing I didn't try to give it a scratch behind the ears ;-).

That is a nice looking fellow! :-)
ooo he's a cutie
I was just thinking last week
that I don't see caterpillars like I did when I was a kid
and shazam....you spot one
hee hee
good thing you did not scratch him behind the ears or any place else. Hmmmm, Hives, does Lori have Sycamore trees on her farm???
That is one cool looking caterpillar!
One Diva caterpillar keeping you company!!!
Very pretty! Quite a few of the hairy insects will cause an itchy response especially in sensitive people. Tarantulas will kick the hair off thier backs at you with their hind feet if they're annoyed. This little guy (or gal) is cute!
That caterpillar looks like Yosemite Sam with those 'eyebrows'!
Awesome! Perfect for a sheep farm for sure!
Love it!!!
It looks like one of my angora bunnies - if it were hanging upside down under your porch railing.
Aww, he is gorgeous!! I've never seen a caterpillar like him before. :-)
Amazing! I don't think I've ever seen anything like that.
Watching from a respectful distance certainly sounds like the right plan. :-)
