Letters Home From Camp Givalammacookee*

Dear Robin, camp is good. The counselors are nice. We do lots of fun stuffs and we get to eat lots of cookies, especially when Auntie Reg comes over.

And even Daniel is having fun too.  He was pretty shy in the beginning, but he's real happy now.

Hershey has a big mouth and likes to holler that we want more cookies.  Chocula is pretty loud, too.

Bitey Whitey got in a little trouble for trying to steal some jewelry, but nobody got too mad.

And for those lambs who don't like cookies...

Camp Givalammaboxacheerios.  Crazy Maisie hates cookies.  I've tried stuffing them in the side of her mouth thinking that once she gets a taste of them...  No dice.  They go in one side and torpedo out the other.  She loves some Cheerios though, but only if she gets to eat them out of the box!

* Credit Robin for the clever camp name :-D.

I finally got some of my sheep to eat some cookies, Fruit Newtons, they are not just fig anymore. Maybe Maizie would like Newtons.

They are too cute. Maisie has you trained well. She knows how to get her way.

Go Maisie, go Maisie! :-)

This is adorable! I won't share it with my sheep. The kids eat up all the cookies without the lambs helping. Have a good weekend!

Camp Givalammacookee -- love it. :-) Now that's a camp I would have LOVED to attend, as a youngster. And, come to think of it, I still would..... Have you thought of adding a room or two of B&B to the wool house? :-)

I'll even promise to share my breakfast Cheerios with Maisie. :-)

Thanks for the smile this morning! That Maisie is a one of a kind liking Cheerios instead of Vanilla Wafers..she must have a different palate:)

I'm surprised I haven't ever gotten MY head stuck in a box of cookies...

Of course she doesn't. Only sheep without tails eat nilla wafers. ;)

I was able to teach one of my ewes to walk on her hind legs (like you would train a dog) because of her love for better-cheddars:) Aren't they the funniest things?
Love that you share.
Smiles,

Shirley never really like cookies much either, but bring out a hand full of corn and she'd knock the rest of the girls down to get to it.

I still say theres a book parody in there," If You Give a Lamb a Cookie....." he'll probably want a scritch behind the ears to go with it. And if you scritch behind his ears, he'll probably want a lap to lay upon so he can take a nap. And once he takes a nap on your lap, he'll be in your heart forever. When he wakes up, it will be time for you to give the lamb a cookie......
And so it goes :-)

My adult ewes like bread and love Chees-Its (the more stand-offish ewes LOVE Chees-Its and will almost crawl into my pocket for them). The yearlings and lambs wonder what all the fuss is about.

Eating out of the box keeps the Shepherd's fingers sticky free...I've put a pocket full of honey o's through the wash so maybe Maisie's method would be helpful to me!

Howling laughing........what fun! except for the for the jewelry thief!
And Maisie in the cheerios box...that has got to go on next years calendar which of course will be all Maisie, all the time!!!

Absolutely love it! Can we sign up our kids for next summer? We've got four. Four sheep = four cookie monsters. Ian made sure Snowball and Doodle were up to speed with the cookie munching early on!

Camp Givalammacookee is a pretty exciting place. "The 4 Melonheads"
are quick learners and have excellent taste. What else would you expect from a group of boys from New York State!

She doesn't like sugar! What a hoot! Just like some people! But NOT ME!!!

Wait a minute... sheep love cookies?? Holy geez, I KNEW we were meant to be soulmates, sheep and me. Wow!

Love those firmly packed backsides - makes me feel better about my fluffy sheep...and love that Maisie eats Cheerios out of the box! Mine are graham cracker eaters. And apple eaters. And raisin eaters. And, and eaters.

I knew the boys would have a stellar time. I bet they're learning all kinds of crafts, too. Definately eating watermelon, probably singing around the campfire too. The happy campers.... :-)
