A Maisie Monday

Yes, this is our same wee lambie.

Here is a cute video of her playing in the yard with me yesterday.  Thanks Valerie!  I'm glad you didn't have to witness either a heart attack or broken ankle from "running" in clogs ;-).

I've had several questions lately that I haven't answered yet, including some about her tail, which she features strongly in the video :-).  I'll do a question/answer post later this week.  Have a question (Maisie, big sheeps, fiber, farm, bees, my excellent cooking skills...)?  Leave it in the comments section or drop me an email.  I do answer all emails...if I don't lose them between the computer and iPad.  That means if I haven't answered you in a reasonable amount of time...please send it again.  Sigh.

That's my question!! Her tail! Usually I've noticed that they bob(?) them when they're very young. Assume that it's a little late to do so now??? She seems to be doing great now!! Bet you're happy with that!! Is she still drinking goat's milk? Seems she is out of the woods now? going to the barn soon? Maisie is one lucky and blessed lady to have been "picked up" by you!

Oh I loved the video..yes you must give us the tale about the tail..and why they are docked..or not.
She seems to be the picture of health..she has grown with that goats milk for sure.
How long will she stay in the house? You have done really good with her..you are a good lambie saver:)

Ahhhh....a wee lambie worth of her own dictionary!

This really is A MAISIE ing........
and all from goat's milk and your love! It seemed like it was overnight!

Well, I can't say that I won't miss
that wee handful of a lamb but *this* Maisie is certainly a Miracle.

Many hugs from the Sisterhood of the Goat who have been following along on Facebook!

Oh I just smile ear to ear while watching her jump for joy! Love the way she hops! I think the world needs more lambie playtime - just adorable! And I love her long tail - so much cuter than being docked.

Such a difference in only a couple of weeks! She is growing in *leaps and bounds*!
Who will you use as a baby sitter when it's time to integrate her into the heard, and teach her that she isn't a cat? Betsy might just miss her.

I can't believe that's the same tiny weak lamb you started with! She's positively round now. And so strong and happy. Great job! I agree - videos once a week!

I can't believe how much she has grown!
Have her legs straightened out.... or gotten stronger... or has that situation fixed itself?

Now I know the REAL reason you were running in those races . . . to keep up with the lamb!

She's HUGE! The two of you are having a very good time.

I have to confess--my Tess still has a tail. I suppose I'll tend to it when I shear. Tess isn't the first lamb that has grown up with a tail here and probably won't be the last.

Such a beautiful round belly! Just had a Maisie of my own Sunday afternoon - single, but tiny (under 5 pounds). She's still working on figuring out how to suck, so I'm glad her mom is cooperating with me milking her every 3-4 hours so I can tube feed Nellie. Hope the Maisie Magic rubs off on her.

I'm impressed my Maisie's growth AND by your running in clogs skills! Looks like her wonky ankles are gone, gone and she is certainly getting some girth about her-I love it! Big cheers all around!
