A Good Maisie Day

Yesterday was a very bad Maisie day, but today she rallied. Again. The weather was fantastic and she spent, by choice, most of the day out on the back porch.  She took a nice nap on the porch swing and I think she really liked being rocked to sleep with the sun shining on her face.  I enjoyed being out there as well.  I feel like I've been on house arrest.

Yep, that's the bossy Maisie face we like to see :-).

Very curious.

I've been digging up clumps of grass so she can pick around on it.  This is working even better than I'd hoped.

Some bees came around to check out the porch railing and Maisie thought they were interesting too.  I'm curious how these bees know to come around and look for winter honey.  Their life cycle is too short for the same bees to come winter after winter.  So do they leave a note for the upcoming bees? "Hey, buzz down the hill to the white porch.  That lady there drizzles honey out for us on warm days."

What happens on a bad Maisie day? Is she sick on those days?

You poor dear!! Will Maisie build her strength and grow up like Blossom? Guess that was a silly question! I do hope for Maisie and for your sake, she'll get strong and healthy one day ---- soon!! But she is soooo adorable to look at :-}} Thank you!

Maisie looks very happy to be outside, doesn't look like you have any snow right now. I wonder if Maisie likes honey, supposed to be good for people, maybe a few drops in her milk bottle. Glad you and Maisie got to be outside in the sun and off house arrest. Take care.

I hope she ends up strong and winsome. She sure is adorable and beautiful. I hope for her little woolly heart. I really do. And she's so good for my heart. So uplifting to see these pics of her, and you take such excellent care of her!! :)

I don't think I've ever really heard, how old was Punkin before you felt comfortable that he had finally turned the corner was headed out of the woods? If you haven't already, you need to tell Maisie all about him. for inspiration. ^.^

Yay for good days. Hopefully soon she will put the bad days in the rear view mirror, and she can graduate to sleeping on Aunt Blossom's cot in the barn.

I am so glad she is rallying around one more time - such a hard place for you to be right now, just when you think shes going alright...But having you as a caretaker mom is doing a world of good - she looks very healthy in these photos!

Sara -
Glad to hear Maisie had a better day -- think of you and her often, just been a bit distracted, as you know.

GO PACK GO!!!!!

Glad Maisie is ok. She is so sweet. I love watching your babies grow up.

The bees do a little dance and tell each other about the honey lady! You are so thoughtful to think of them like that! I wish everyone would do that.

You are doing such an amazing job for little Maisie. She is so sweet, and you are wonderful.

Oh she is just so sweet!! Wishing continued health to her. Bees are absolutely amazing in the way routes and destinations almost seem to be a part of their genetic fabric.

Come on, Maisie girl, you can do it. Just string a lot of those good days together, and you'll be fine. Come on, girl.

I think that first pic is my fave. The hay, hanging out of her mouth.... With that "Whatsit to ya?" expression on her face.

Thinking about you all.
