Cleared For Take Off

Everything's okay here. I've just been really busy trying to get ready for the Wool Festival next weekend. Stella's been having some fun though :-).

Remember when I took photos for the Young Eagles day at the local airport earlier in the summer?  Last Saturday was Silver Eagles - for anyone over 60.  Local folks like Stella came out, but also two groups from one of the local nursing homes.  Everyone had a great flight and a great time.

Stella, heading out on her first flight.

She got lucky and scored a second flight too.  And to top it off...

...this plane is a teaching plane.

And she got to fly herself over her farm!

That's a super groups of folks over at our airport.  I'm glad they asked me back and I can't wait for the next one :-).

Braver than me, too!

Hey, I tracked down Gita's booth at OFFF to introduce myself, but the ladies working there said Gita didn't come. Apparently you're hogging her all to yourself out there in Kentucky.... SOMEday I'll meet up with this other member of the rare dressage/fiber enthusiasts club. :-)

What an awesome set of photos! I grew up flying and love to see general aviation. It's a "sound of summer" for me!
Wish I could attend the wool fest...sigh. Maybe someday! Meanwhile I'll enjoy the photos of your blue sky and fair weather.

Stella sets the standard high for us senior "Silver Eagles". I think there will be some "Two Busy Bee Honey" at the wool fest which Stella has had a big hand in. Stella is amazing. RC
