Let Sleeping Cats Lie...

...'cause they're just going to do what they want anyway ;-).

It's apparently an epidemic.

Head count - okay, there's T-Bone. Aria must be hiding out from the boys.

Gato: Wha? Whoa, I'm awake! Really.

Gato: Maybe not.

Hope everyone has a sunny spot to nap today.

Sun does that to a body; I feel the draw myself. Reminds me of the old Garfield cartoons, where he couldn't get across a beam of sunshine....

that top photo is awesome - gray cat and grayish/blue background. Sure would love to see some sun here, we still have snow.

It's going to be awhile before we get to where you are. We still have piles of snow and 33 degrees with wind. CAN'T WAIT! Great shots...looks like heaven!

My horses were doing that too; I took a video of Beamer snoring.

I thought that horses rested in the standing position. Maybe they were just sunbathing to get ready for spring break :-)
Interesting capture!

I didn't realize horses took naps laying down, either! I think the ones in Texas take naps standing up, but they haven't been through the kind of winter you have.

Bring on the sunny warm days.:-))

Horses can nap standing up, but will frequently lay down if they feel "safe". Sometimes you'll see whole fields of napping horses on the big farms around here :-).

There have actually been some studies that show that horses will become sleep-deprived if put in a situation (like a horse show) where they are not comfortable enough to lay down to sleep. It doesn't have to be for long - 15 to 20 minutes - but they NEED that deep sleep!

Read your Twitter about "doing SS shots".......swear to God, I'm thinking "Strawberry Schnappes? Man, it must be cold down there - they're trying to keep warm shearing."

That Andy says "Noooo, Sunday Stills"

I have to get out more.

I love to see horses so comfortable that they just lay down and enjoy themselves.
