I think Maisie's been feeling a bit neglected lately. Oh, she has several friends now, lots of things to do and places to go, but summer vacation has not gone like she'd planned so far. She's been in a fair amount of trouble - breaking and entering/exiting, food stealing, fence testing... If you tell her not to do something, she just tries all the harder to do it. Even Hank lost his patience with her once.
"Nobody understands me."
The sky has been interesting and busy all day. Small wispy clouds in the morning, big sweeping clouds this afternoon. The cloud of white fuzz in the foreground is Hank's. He's finally started his big shed out and stands next to me and lets me pluck out big hunks of undercoat.
And as long as the sheep want to stay out, he will too, but he finds himself a cool, shady vantage point.
But he's happiest when he can crash in the barn. Maisie came in with him, but wasn't ready to settle in. I sat down in hopes she'd sit down with me, but she doesn't really want to hang out with her mom right now...but she doesn't really want not to. Teenagers... ;-)

"Teenagers!" is just what I was thinking..... :-)
You grow such beautiful sheep. I don't know if it is because we see them at their worst, but wow when they take off they sure do look good.
I think Remy is my favorite 'OW' to 'WOW" sheep though. Shhh don't tell Maisie though, she might flounce over that comment.
This is such a sweet post. It just goes along like a summer day.
Tell Maisie to be a good girl... tell her that we're all watching her.
Yep, teenager was what I was thinking also!
p.s. She's beautiful, but don't tell her or she'll get a 'big head'.
She is looking so good..you are a sheep miracle worker! Good to hear she has more friends than just Hank:)
AW Maisie- you are a little darling.
That's exactly it - she's a teenager now!

grown up big and healthy Maisie. Wonderful!
I do not believe that is Maisie. No, impossible. Maisie? Really??
Lovely composition on those pastoral photos especially the capture of the clouds and the undercoat.
Looks like Maisie is not a failure to thrive lambie who worried us sick at Christmas. How wonderful is that!!!
My how Maisie has grown, but then I should have guessed that already, looking at my April lambs tonight some are almost as big as mamas.
Give Maisie a hug or has she outgrown those? And one for Hank too.
Is it just me or is Maise filling out nicely, she looks great and Ol' Hank is chillin' :-)
She has become such a lovely sheep! Hank must have the patience of Job.
Amen, sister!
How quickly they grow up!! And to think she was only a little thing this past winter. Are Blossom and Maisie friends since they both are not normal sheep?
It's okay, Maisie. It'll get better.
Well, you see Maisie has always been special! The last photo of Maisie and Hank is just wonderful! LOVE that dog!
Oh those difficult adolescents. lol. She beautiful. Sweet Maisie. I remember when she was THIS tiny. :)
She hardly looks like the teeny-tiny lamb you brought home!
And you don't spin up Hanks undercoat? Woman, where is your spinning obsession?!
