Lavender Bees

I had pretty good luck getting our lavender through the drought last summer and the long wet winter. I had to replace a few plants, but the tough ones that made into year two are blooming their hearts out. I love it.  So do Stella's bees!

Gorgeous photos; I sometimes find capturing lavender's color challenging.

P.S. I got a wonderful little box today. THANK-YOU!

I'm so jealous! I adore lavender, and so far have been unable to grow it here. Luckily, mom is just a few miles away and the plant I gave her a couple of years ago is thriving, so I get my fix there.

I purchased a jar of Too Busy Bees honey at the Kentucky Sheep and Fiber Festival. It has to be the MOST DELICIOUS honey I've ever tasted.

We love to see the bees in the flowers. Of course their honey is even better! I love your lavender!

I love lavender! Just wish I could get it to grow! A bee hive would be so much fun too!

I bet that smells wonderful!!!!

Mine did well, too... the drought must have been what it liked, since it was a Mediterranean plant. The bees are working it and the catmint like crazy, here.

I have a hard time growing lavender, I know it should do well here but I think maybe my soil is too rich for it.
