Sunday Stills - Sky

There was a beautiful rainbow yesterday evening.

It tried to double - you can see a hint of the second one just behind the tree on the left.

And it maintained all the way over.  This was as much as I could capture.  Isn't it nice when something is so beautiful you can't fit it all in?

For more Sunday Stills...

I love the whole composition. There is some perfectly reasonable, scientific, explanation as to why our camera lens can't quit get it all...

Duh...I didn't quit finish that sentence.
.....but I don't understand what it is.

Obviously I need more coffee! :)

My iPhone could have done a panoramic shot. Duh. Rainbows are so fleeting though... Was interesting to see the distortion in the corners at 18mm.

This life is so filled with beauty that is too big to capture... and that's the wonderfulness of it. As long as we keep looking and showing others... then we share a gift, don't we?
Thanks. Lovely post.

i saw a double rainbow on our honeymoon - and proceed to practically die of hypothermia as we were paddling in the Boundry Waters on a 3 mile lake in the soaking rain at a temp of 40+...

Poor mike - he didnt want to be known as the groom who killed his bride on their honeymoon due to exposure LOL
