Shearing Day!!!
Bill Haudenschield brought a new (to us) shearer with him this trip, Gavin McKerrow. And he broke The Cardinal Rule.
Never...
Ever...
Turn your back on Graham Lamb.
Look at those wheels turning while he's waiting his turn.
Shearing went well. Uneventful. The best kind. More pictures (with a couple surprises) tomorrow.
In the meantime, who do you think this is?

Oh Graham! How was the shearer to know that behind those handsome eyes are capital T...Trouble!
Since the day was “uneventful” I might guess that you caught him before the antics started.
How many guesses do we get?
Wild guess.... B. Willard?
Is that officially Black??? Or are there Grey sheep?
Renny?
Willard was my guess, too.
I'm saying Renny too. Sounds like you got the job done with no real problems. Is it still real warm down there? Did you cook???? Or should I ask Saint Tim?
Yes, there are grays and this sheep is definitely gray.
B Willard is my guess..hope you stay warm and don't get anymore snow:)
I vote that that beautiful grey fleece is Renny.
Graham is so handsome and looks so distinguised with his roman nose, how could the shearer ever hope to know how inquisitive he is? ; )
Leah
My guess is beautiful, fell and landed in sheep paradise Renny....
I'm hearing the theme from Jaws with Grahm inching closer and closer,,:-)
I'm guessing Renny too..
Gorgeous Grey!!
So how many bags full did you wind up with at the end of the day?
;o)
