A Tale Of Two (or five) Webs

Between my fascination with spider webs and bird nests, it's no wonder I'm drawn to fiber arts.

Here are some interesting (at least to me) morning finds:

The thick and thin of it.

What it would probably look like if I tried to build a web.

Doesn't this look like something that should be in your grandmother's jewelry box?

More Christmas tree bling.

Look closely - I found this tiny web between two rocks in the country sidewalk.

Spinning and weaving all around me.

Sunday....ACTION!

Unfortunately taken with my phone. I've got to start carrying the camera AND the camera bag.

"Okay sheep. I'm looking for some cooperation around here. You with the black face - quit acting scared of me. You with the big horns, quit trying to butt me! You! The brown one with the big butt - quit trying to steal my chew bones!!!"

I Like These Birds Better

Welcomed guests at the wool house.

I, of course, did not have my zoom lens. I'm not exactly sure what a camera bag is for...if you never actually carry it. Apparently I'll never learn.

And I still love the stupid Adventure Chickens. However, with the price of chicken feed these days, if I have to go BUY eggs from my neighbor...

I just love being the laughing stock of the neighborhood.

Chicken No

When one particular chicken makes a sheep blog twice, it's a sign...of something. When a cardboard box with airholes cut in it shows up at your door Nancy K...well, there's your sign ;-).

So what has Chicken No done (this time)? She didn't come home the other night. Free range chickens are pretty easy pickings for a hawk, coyote, Comby, so I naturally feared the worst. (Luckily?) she didn't take long to find.

In the VERY FIRST PLACE any idiot would think to look, Chicken No. Not too creative there, toots. But I guess you sort of have an excuse as you've been working so hard to stockpile 21 eggs! 21 unfertilized, too risky to feed to the dogs, going into the compost pile eggs.

Yeesh.
