Bullwinkle

Yes, there's a lamb in the kitchen.  I was hoping to hold of until the end of the week when things were hopefully going to slow down a bit (haha), but here he is.  He'll be a week old tomorrow. Saint Tim called him Bullwinkle the first night and that seems to be sticking.  I have no idea where he comes up with these names :-).

In the meantime, Lamb Camp has continued on.  Tuesday, Auntie Reg and I went out to see Baaxter's FOUR new siblings and all the rest of the cute lambies at Foxglove Farm.  Yesterday I went to Soay Sarah's of Shepherd Life fame and got mugged by took pictures of Mira and all her new cousins.  I'll get some pictures posted as soon as I can.

Oh, an update on Rockette 654.  We moved her and her mom and sister back to a smaller jug and that helped.  That's why we use small jug pens, then move to the nursery and then to the big farm.  If someone isn't keeping up, you know and can fix it.  We moved them back into the nursery yesterday and will make sure she's doing well before she "graduates" to the big farm.

sigh........another fix of lambieness....

On a side note....Ralph talked to Becky in Texas [Lonestar Barbados where our sheep are] Everyone is fine and they only had 1 tree come down due to waterlogged ground. They cannot get to town but they had prepared and have feed for house and barn for two weeks or more. We got pedigrees and everyone has passed the vet tests.

Do you know how to make felt?

Thank heavens Bullwinkle has you. Farming, tough dealing with harsh realities you are dealt. And, thank you for sharing the preciousness of Bullwinkle.

Awww, Bullwinkle is a great sheepie name. Some of my favorite names are the ones that just popped out of my mouth when I was talking about something else and not really thinking about the naming at all. He's a cutie. He gets to put that new kitchen through its paces. :)

Snorgling Bullwinkle from afar - he doesn't know it but he has come to the best place on earth for a little lambie! What breed is he?

That was my first question. Sorry to hear about the answer. I was hoping you were going to say he was a triplet, and Foxglove Farm said, "you can have him if you want". Yeah, like you wouldn't want.

I hope his momma didn't suffer :(.

Welcome to Bullwinkle. He is very fortunate to be rescued by the kindest people ever and there is a built in family waiting for him. What does Betsy think of her new charge?

Welcome, Bullwinkle! He may not realize it yet, but he's won the lottery at best home ever! So sad that he's an orphan, but he couldn't have been adopted by a better "mama". Looking forward to watching him grow!
