A Desperate Plea

With Maisie feeling a little better today, I took a few minutes to stop in the Wool House this afternoon before I did evening chores to pull down some of Woolliam's curls to test blend with Marcel's roving. That I was so sure was there. Already washed and processed. In a big bag on the right hand side of the loft. Right?

Right??

Please???

That I sold back last spring.

When I never dreamed that favorite sheep wouldn't live forever.

I'm hoping the spinner who purchased his fleece is a blog reader and might see this. And maybe hasn't already used it. And would be interested in selling it back to me.

It would mean the world to me.

 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

If you sit down in the barn sobbing, Hank will come over and wash your face just like he used to wash Marcel's. It only helps a little, but oh, such a sweet dog.

Hope you sold it to one of your blog readers and you at least find some of it left to spin. I know how frustrating it can be to be sure you know exactly where something is and spend days looking for it. I have been looking for 2 weeks for my cookbook to find my Corn Chowder recipe to participate in Mama Pea's Souper Sunday ... still have not found it, it's a big binder with a red cover with a sheep on it, I know it is here somewhere. I did find my felting needle I have been looking for since yesterday. Give Hank a hug for me, and Maisie too.

I still have a ball or two of the wool you gave me. Not sure who it came from. Its not much, but if its some of what your looking for, you can have it. I was using it as decoration.

It happened the same with my poor Hugo...I gave his last fleece away...but I'm lucky and the lady is sending me back everything in change of someone else's fleece...
I really hope your marcel will come back to you soon!

Here's hoping Marcel's fleece will come back to you. Do you know if I sneak out to the field to have a good cry, Jake (Amy's son) comes over to me and tells me I'll feel better if I scratch his face and in between his horns. And he won't leave until the tears are gone. We are so lucky to have such loving animals!

Oh how awful. I can't imagine the awful panicky sinking feeling when you realized it was gone. SO hoping the fleece finds its way back to you. Bless that dog - he always knows the right thing to do for everybody.

Sarah, I have a wintery white wool full size battan that I bought from you last winter - not sure whose wool it is, but you are more then welcome to have it back if it will make you feel better (did it come from one of the guys from this summer?) - I have a pieced quilt but I havent quilted it yet so it hasnt been pieced together with the battan - its still in its bag!
