The Rest Of The Story

So after a good bit of running around doing the silly sheep dance, Lila settled down to grazing and then she and some of her new buddies came over to check out what I was up to. I was parked over in the shade so I could keep an eye on everyone and decided to carry my wheel.

Hmmm - so this drive band makes everything turn.

And then the yarn comes out here.

Mmm - fresh spun yarn smells good.

Yeah, well, this seems like a lot of work to me. Why don't they just grow their own wool sweaters like we do?

This was actually Wednesday's spinning - Emerin.

And yesterday I plied all of Bluebell (pictures later).

But I know what you REALLY want to see is how the nails are faring. Still holding strong through barn chores, house chores (including opening metal cat food cans) and pool time :-D.

They might have been wondering what buddy of theirs was stuffed in a paper bag....Hmmmmm doesn't smell like a relative of mine!
I'm surprised they didn't bite through the band.
Beautiful, cardworthy spinning as always.

Yeah,in the one photo it looks like they were saying, "Marge, is that you? I haven't seen you in years."

I can't believe your nails are holding up. Really? Even surviving pool time? My hubby commented once about how I never do my nails anymore. Of course, I had to give him the, "You don't have a clue what I do around here all day do you?" look.

Good to know that your spinning passed inspection. Did they give it a "hooves up"?

Aw, Marcel has such a kind face just like his dad. Are you going to coat him before hay season?

He really does have a kind face. I should post a straight on shot, which really shows it. We really like Marcel.

I might have to try those nails, they look really good.

It's funny they are so nosy. If those nails hold up to chores I'm going to have to give it a try.

Love the yarn! One day in a land far,far away, my spun yarn will look like that too. lol. Nails are still looking good! See, with polish you can't see all of the poo under the nail. heheheheh. I found that out on my own nails. lol

My nails chipped all week. I finally had to take it off on Saturday. Well, that's what happens when you use remnants. I wish you had a VIDEO of Lila bouncing around. Nice spinning ..... some day ......

Mine have started chipping too, but lasted a good 6 days with hard use. I'll probably take them off this evening - so 8 days.
