Well, I watched all week for a sheep shaped cloud. I mean, sheep look like clouds, surely a cloud could look like a sheep. Right? I'll probably see a perfect one on Monday. Sigh.
We've had some amazing storm clouds all summer, but mostly this week it's been the classic Simpson's cloud scene.
Some big sky country...at our neighbors. If you click to biggify, you can see several gently rolling fields. Nice farm. Raises nice hay. Which we are always happy to see (and smell) stacked in our barn.
Clouds in the sky. Clouds on the ground.
I'm 5'8". I could not reach the top of this corn. And this was their "short" field. What a year.
I was trying for sunbeams, but what I really got was a cloud flower. Doesn't this look like the petals of a pansy?
And all's well that ends well. If you look carefully ;-).

Oh those are so beautiful! I love the rainbow! I haven't seen one in years! Very well done.
I love the cloud flower! And we're the same height -- another thing in common. :-)
The clouds look like tufts of pulled cotton. Beautiful shots against that crystal blue sky. How lucky to capture a rainbow! Should be a good week :-)
It's hard to pick a favorite! I love your analogy of clouds in the sky and clouds on the ground. Yet the "cloud flower" is stunning. But there's something about the powerful threat of the storm clouds and the promise of the rainbow that really speaks to me...
I call them 'Simpson's clouds', too!
I like the prespective of the clouds from what looks like knee level.
Great shots and we have had great storm clouds in KY this year haven't we? Your rainbow is lovely and I love the flower.
I envy (in a good way) your time in nature and the beauty of your countryside...that you have the ability to look up into the sky and see God's creativity...sheep and flowers. wonderful.

I think your clouds are very pretty.
And I absolutely love the cloudflower, if only because you have invented a new word I will keep on using from now on :-)
What a beautiful bright sunny day you are having out there! :D I like the way you added those flowers into the frame in the 2nd one! Beautiful!
Oh! Is it that tall?! Wow! Amazing!
Yea! a cloud like sheep would be the perfect entry from your side!
But you already got some amazing shots in here! Great work CSL!
A great one to finish with ~ a lovely rainbow! :D
Liked them all.
Very nice. The clouds and the flower shot is very nicely done.
waiting for a sheep shaped cloud was cute :)
teehehe
lovely photographs for this weeks challenge
I like the second picture the best, but all of them are good shots!!
I like how the white flowers appear "matched" the clouds Very nice collection.
Love the shot through the corn!
I just love the one of the flowers from the ground. Amazing.
Pretty rainbow, too. I like the pic with the flowers unveiling the blue and cloud filled sky. So wonderful!

Love the cloud flower and rainbow! The Queen Anne's Lace gives the sky shot some depth, very nice!
Beautiful photos and I like the pansy cloud the best. That was my mother's favorite flower and since she just passed it's a great memory for me.
ps I have no idea why the photos wouldn't show up. I've noticed that on a couple of other blogs I've visited, too. If you just right click and then choose "Show Picture" from the menu, the photos should show up for you, though.
Beautiful! Love that land! And wow, that is some monster corn! Great job!
Really nice shots. :)
The Chinese also have a similar nursery song to Little Bopeep.
When I was little, my grand pa would point out to us the sheep in the sky and how the big bad wolf was coming to eat them.
Great! I really like the perspective of the "ground clouds" and flowers, but they are all good.
Great!!! The rainbow is a very nice touch...also the Queen Anne's Lace!
I love your 'from below' perspective.
It adds wonderful interest.
I love your sky!

Very nice!
Great job........I've often thought I could probably take at least one picture a day with a cloud in it and of course they'd always be different.
