Raindrops On Sunflowers - Macro Monday

Or something like that...

I'm not sure I'm getting the macro thing. So I get a couple pictures I like, as close up as my camera will focus.

The pollen in this first picture is what I was going for.

However, I like the picture better with the source of the pollen included. That's not a true macro though, is it?

Likewise this raindrop.

I wonder if I could enlarge this enough to see myself in there, taking the picture. I kind of like the thought of being inside a raindrop. (Definitely click to biggify - actually, the first one is clearer.)

Same time. Same tree. With flash.

I'm not a huge flash fan, but... I like it!

But is it a macro?

I am an amateur, so I don't know. It looks like a macro to me. Either way, they are beautiful pics.

Those are gorgeous! I so enjoy your blog! Hope we can get together soon. Maddie saw a white tent at the fair and said it was "Sara's tent."

WoW! Sara, you are doing a great job! Amazing shots! They are definitely macros. I like the way you experimented with the flash. me too dont like it that often, but rear flash setting comes very handy at times! Hope to see more macros from you :D

Very nice! Put ME in a raindrop, please!

Actually the rain north of us the other day seemed to rejuvenate our well...the mysteries of the aquifer!

I consider them macro's, especially since your backgounds have a nice blur to them. Good job.

It looks like a macro....but what do I know?

I LOVE the raindrop w/ flash; very cool colors! Nice job!

Love 'em! I don't have a "macro" lens either but as far as I'm concerned anything that close up is a macro shot.

Yup! Looks like macros! lol!

You did good!
That last one is my favorite. I also like the one with the source of the pollen. Nice composition.

Beautiful shots, I especially like the second raindrop shot. I am not sure what the true definition of macro is either but as long as we have fun taking the pictures, that is the main thing :)

Very green with a touch of yellow sunflower. Very nice job. I like the water drops and the term biggify.
