All Together Now

Awwwww :-)

This is the first time I've seen Hank and Salt actually hanging out together.  The cooler weather has done everyone a world of good.  I feel almost human again and I think Hank feels almost...human as well.  I'm so glad to see him happier.

Thank you for all the good tips and things to check and think about with him.  Because I hadn't actually seen him limping or stiff, I hadn't considered arthritis pain causing him to lick his elbows.  Good point!

We tried treating that first, but it hasn't seemed to make a difference.  Our next step will be an anti-anxiety medication, but I'm thinking/hoping we won't need to try that.  He's settled way down since the upper 90s broke at the end of last week.  That was making me pretty anxious as well :-(.

Have I mentioned how much Hank and I hate summer?  Oh...okay...sorry ;-).

Our dogs are aging as well and we recently in Early Sept. started them on: Dasuquin from Nutramax. I am curious what others have said as well. We are noticing a difference for them especailly when we have done a longer activity.

I bet Hank has had a regular physical recently.

It is my impression that it is the case that pain elsewhere can result in licking of feet/forelimbs. I could well be wrong, but I have a suspicion that this is true.

It's nice to see the dogs laying together (sort of) and resting. I hope that sweet doggie is much better now.

They’re so cute lying together. Glad you’re getting cooler temps, we are too. I hate summer and the heat and humidity that comes with it.

If you’re looking for something that will help arthritis and anxiety I would recommend CBD oil. I get it from my vet for Ginger for her seizures but it is basically good for everything. You have to be careful where you buy it because there’s so much on the market. What I originally bought for Ginger didn’t help at all,my vet said it didn’t have enough hemp oil or whatever to make a difference. The stuff they gave me is only sold through vets. It seems to be helping. I found it from an online vet in Colorado. It’s pricey but it lasts about four months for one bottle. It’s called Rx Vitamins for pets, Hemp Rx Forte.1800 mg Phyto-Cannabinoids and Terpenes, Endocannabinoid.(that’s everything that’s on the label) if you decide to try it I hope it helps him.
