Playing Good In The Neighborhood

Frisbee trumps stick any day!

"Aren't I charming?  Look into my beautiful brown eyes.  You want to throw the frisbee.  You know you do.  Come on.  Throw the frisbee..."

Kate!  Don't you dare tear up that nice frisbee!

Oh look, Kate knows the same collie mind tricks as Watcher! That focused stare is hypnotic, I'm convinced.

Wow. She's a beauty. Looks like you'll need to find a sale on frisbees!

I had a corgi who would bring you one ball after another, looking for just the right one that you'd be willing to throw. She would stand close, and toss the ball just a little, and *SMILE* at you. "Come on. Throw it. You KNOW you want to. It will be really fun, you'll see. Just try it!"

If you remained unresponsive, she would get a different ball, and run through the routine again.

Sometimes I'd be sitting on the couch, reading, and look up to discover I was surrounded by balls and stuffed toys. Surely, surely, one of them had to be the one the silly monkey would throw.....

Red suits her...how about a ball will she chase it? Chance likes anything blue...he has a blue Frisbee and his fav ball is blue. Have fun playing Frisbee:)

Our dogs are "broken". They don't know how to retrieve. They will chase it. Duh, it is moving… but once it stops, ach, no fun anymore!
Kate is adorable!

I'm SO glad Kate is fitting in so well, but how does Hank feel about it when she is 'working' HIS sheep?

Also, at 9 years old, isn't it hard for her to lose her former family?

Oh my, what a beautiful face she has. Love those eyes and her markings. Congrats to all for your new family addition. She doesn't know it yet but she just landed in heaven! Hopefully the cat problem will work out. It took a long time to teach the puppy girls not to chase the cats all over. (They still act out some, but it's now controllable).

Have you tried a jolly ball? My ACD stole the Haflingers. He prefers it now to anything else. Plus I can just kick it when my hands are full!

I am very sure Kate was sad to leave her old family, but we've tried really hard to make her feel happy and loved here and I think she's figuring out she has a new job now and if there's one thing a BC wants to do, it's work :-).

Boo my old BC used to tear up frisbees...I ended up trimming a bucket lid for him and the flew well and lasted! She is lovely!

She is a beauty, love those eyes! They make jolly balls in all sizes for dogs, mine have one that is about 5 inches across.
