Don't you love it when an animal gets comfortable enough to play? Yay!

There are times when my elderly dog comes in from outside, and ... RACES around the house like a puppy (until he has to stop and cough .. :-) ).

He does this especially if it's raining, or if we don't let him in instantly the first time he barks.

Like Burrnie (love his name.....), my Burt had a hard life before he came to us. As far as we know, he was stray for the first year of his life, and spent plenty of time being wet and cold.

I always think Burt is expressing joy when he runs around the house after coming in. Joy at being able to come into a warm dry house when ever he wants!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-)

That's what I see in Burrnie. :-) "I'm safe and well-fed now, in the company of many happy sheep!!! Hooray! Hooray! Hooray!"

What an adorable little guy! It's true, as everyone said, a sheep (dog/cat/animal) that can frolic is a sheep that has realized he is safe and happy and protected from baddies. Yea!
