Another New Angel Among Us

Comby

2004? -  August 27, 2020

When I have to 'make the call' on an animal, I sit with them while we wait for the vet and I tell them stories about their life with us.  "Remember when..."  I thank them for being my friend and working hard on the farm and taking good care of everyone...  And then I tell them to go find [someone who was a special friend] because I sure hope we all end up somewhere together again.

"Go find Boo."

So sorry for your loss. It's so hard to let them go. Let's home Comby has found Boo and they're playing together like they used to.

Aw, so sorry, Sara. So glad you took the chance to snuggle with him after lunch a day or so ago. Every moment is precious, and there are never enough. Big hugs from me and my feline family!

Oh Comby. Don't be surprised if you see him out of the corner of your eye when you do night time barn check sometimes. I'm sure he'll be checking in to make sure you are OK. He was a Very Good Cat.

Dear Comby. I was afraid that he was close to the time to depart when you spent extra time with him. He was a very special boy and may he rest now with his friends.

I so admire your wisdom and ability to give your heart so willingly and totally. Yet you can also find the strength to accept that no living creature will live forever. Thanks for sharing your life so freely and know that your joys are my joys and your sorrows are also mine. You are blessed and you are a blessing.

No. I am so sad for you, especially when it comes to when you paint your Christmas card. Too many losses this year. Thank you for being a good cat, Comby. You will be missed.

Oh Comby. We will all miss you but we have the stories to tell that will help us. You, on the other hand, now have Boo and all your other friends to run and play with.
My sympathies to everyone at Equinox Farm for their loss. And yes, you will all be together again one day. It couldn’t possibly be heaven without our animal friends.
He was a proper good cat.

Sara, I didn't see this till last night, but I had to wait till I stopped
crying to comment. I don't remember Boo but I was kind of hoping Brushy would be there to meet him. He was a very good boy and he loved living on his farm.
You gave him a wonderful life. No matter how long they're with us, it's never long enough. Hugs

awwww - i am so sad for your loss. he has been my favorite pin-up boy from your calendars, and i have always looked forward to news of him on your blog. i am headed for the rainbow bridge with one of mine as well. he's 15-16, a bombay, and has been going steadily downhill since the first of the year. we have a date with the vet next week, and i'm trying to love him up extra every day. --suz in NE ohio
