Keeping An Eye On The Trail

We woke to snow this morning. Of course we did :-/. Once the sheep are shorn, I no longer wish for snow.  Sigh...  Luckily it was still pretty warm and it didn't last long.  Barely long enough to get some Iknitarod team pictures.

June looks like she's lost the trail ;-).

Iris made this trail from the house to the barn years ago and Tilly still uses it.

The Tilly Trail.

Kate may not use Iris Lane very often, but she does keep an eye on the traffic.

The snow melted so fast you could watch it happening.

I have both sleeves re-knit and I've started the body.  I was hoping to reach the 4" mark this evening, but I'm running out of gas and my "paws" are a little sore, so I may "take an eight".

Hank and June are happy about the cooler weather.  The sheep...are actually doing okay.  This weather is not ideal, but the barn is closed up to block the wind and they have plenty to eat to help stay warm.  Sure glad we didn't do the oldies!

I figured you would get some snow, glad it was a quick melt and the oldies still have their coats:)

Arg! Isn't that the way it goes? I love the pix of the trails in the snow. We still have six-ish inches on the ground, and I have some serious spring fever this year.

I think all your sheep have plenty of, um, insulation....

I’d set a large tropical plant outside, but brought him back in because our nights have returned to the 30s. The daffodils bloomed during the week of 80sF weather and of course were fried. If they’d just waited a week to open ( a few stragglers did), they would last for weeks in cooler temperatures.

Is Carbear helping to re-knit your Carbeth? Is 20 helping? Good thing the snow was light, or Tilly’s tummy would have dragged on it. No matter; Hershey’s taking multiple 8 hr rests.

Carbear is riding in the knitting bag :-).

I wish I could watch our snow melting that fast... oh wait, maybe not, then we'd have more muddy last year.

It just figures you’d get snow after shearing. Murphy’s Law. At least it was warm enough to melt it. Love Hank and June, so sweet.
