Any Thoughts?

After a bit of confusion with the replacement Mug Shot mugs, they are all finally here and look great :-). Now to go back through emails to make sure I don't forget anyone.  If you are either waiting on an ordered mug or waiting on a mug to replace one that got damaged in shipping, it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to "remind" me.

In the meantime, as things got confusing and drawn out with the re-order/replacement of the second group of mugs, our printing rep (you know you're a problem when you get assigned your own rep ;-) thought the design was cute and offered us a good deal on some t-shirts.  Yikes.

T-shirts are cute, but they're a bit complicated to order with what color, what size, what style of shirt, what design...  Mugs are easy.  Order white mug, insert coffee (with milk and sugar :-), enjoy. At the risk of sounding like I'm turning into a garage sale, is there any interest in t-shirts?  If so, any thoughts about these possibilities?

1.  A Mug Shot design - on white or colored t-shirt?

2.  New possible design with no criminals....except one of those crazy Adventure Chickens leaving the scene ;-).

3.  No black line around outside?

4.  No background, but printed on a light blue shirt?

5.  No background, on a white shirt?

See what I mean?  To make things even more stressful, if I want to do this, I really should have them ready to sell at the Kentucky Sheep and Fiber Festival next month (aka less than 30 days away :-o) so I need to be making a decision very quickly (not my strong suit).  More coffee!

I would LOVE a mug shot t-shirt. I love that every mug sold pays a vet, hay, straw, or cookie and cheerio bill. Put me down for an xl! I only wish I'd have it in time to wear to Maryland Sheep and Wool.

I like the mug shot design idea for t-shirts don't forget to put your .com on it.

I like #2 for a T-shirt best. And if you do decide to order them, I would like to reserve an XL and a Medium, please.

Here I am, being helpful again :-) Truthfully, I would buy either or both of them and am not picky about color, although pale blue would look good with the no background 'outstanding' shirt. I do like that design better without the 'background', but I'm sure that others will feel differently. I'd buy it either way ...

I love all the designs but my favorite is #5. Here's another idea to boggle your mind......many moons ago when I worked in a yarn shop the owner ordered her logo printed on tank tops, then sewed up the bottoms and sold them as project bags. They were really cute! Your version in blue would be great for that!

OK..here are my two cents worth.....Renny....simple drawing with an inspiring saying or thought? The blue background is super nice. [#3]

Just to ad to the confusion, I do like #5 though I am such a messy eater white is the bane of my existence!! BUT for you?
I'd buy any one :)

First, is it too late to order a mug? If not please let me know my next step. I would be interested in a t-shirt and would vote for #4. I love the light blue.

Thanks for all the great ideas

The oval would make a great magnet or sticker!! I love the sentiment.

Just to make life difficult, have you considered big sturdy tote bags? No worry about what range of sizes to order, color doesn't usually matter too much as long as it doesn't interfere with your picture, everybody uses totes, and if the buyer's size changes the tote still fits ;-)

I like #2 with the border but I'd be happy with any of them.

Love this idea too -- solves the messy eater problem too! # 2 only because I would have to have a key to explain who was in the mug shots!

I bet you didn't want to do totes...but I would order one! Cream 100% cotton and washable. I think I am way over the Tshirt phase too... but if you order cream or off white and Large and Extra Large. I would really check out what T Shirts they use because some shrink or are uneven. All cute designs:)

I like the picture of all the sheep with their names. I think I have a mug reserved to go into my box of fleece.

I like the tote bag, project bag idea . Any age, size, sex can use it .

I like 1 and 4. And I, like someone above, do not get along with white tshirts so blue would be my choice.

Although I am sure any of them would be lovely!

I'm another one who can't wear white for two second before it gets a paw print or worse on it, so i like the blue, but I would go for any of the designs. I love them all!

Oh yes. Love the mugshot t-shirt. And a project/tote bag is another great idea. I like the designs without the backgrounds.

I'm a late-comer to the blog, and missed the opportunity for a mug the first time around. I would love a second chance! I collect sheep mugs, after all :) As for the t-shirts, I prefer white, and I like the enclosed design, but frankly it's all so adorable that I don't you can go wrong with your choice.

Love the blue with no backround but, save yourself the aggravation. Really. You don't need to be lugging all that extra stuff around and keeping it on hand. Unless you want to ....

You HAVE to have the mug shot t-shirt. HAVE to. Then any one of the others - I like the no-border look and either white or blue is terrific. Or both. Geez. I see what you mean.... :)

Now looking at all the other comments.......I think a tote bag would be GREAT. and no sizes to mess with, one size fits all!!

Susan said...

AND, I wouldn't dribble food on it hahaha

I agree with Sheepmom's tote bag idea. One size fits all (unless you are knitting an afghan, and then Heaven help you!) For a tote bag, I think the blue is attractive.

The sticker or car magnet would be fun.

Boy, have you just opened up a can of worms asking for ideas! And you thought Maisie was a handful!

Mug Shot, Mug Shot, Mug Shot!
Love the tote idea and don't forget the 2XL if you do t-shirts ...

I love the #1 option, but would be glad to have whatever you choose. A very special thank you for putting Comby in the picture! Here's a thought: how about doing long sleeve tees and sweatshirts? I personally would prefer a sweatshirt, but perhaps the minimum order is too cost prohibitive. I used to own a gift shop in San Simeon, California and tees and sweatshirts were my best selling items. I ended up ordering more and more designs until they made up about 75% of my inventory! Since I was in a tourist location, I learned very quickly that visitors wanted shirts as a souvenir over anything else. And sweatshirts were so popular because many people didn't plan on our weather being so mild. I don't know how involved you want to get into the shirt business, but I found it highly addictive!
