Around Here

Tis the season for mail order catalogs and I browsed through a couple while I ate lunch yesterday thinking I was really on top of my game by already thinking about the holidays.  Look what I found in Plow and Hearth!

"There was a time when only the landed gentry had sheep grazing on their grass, and the sight of a ewe and lamb meant wealth and affluence."

Um, around here that means I left a gate open!

And I promptly bought myself a Christmas gift ;-).

I only got the momma and baby and they gave me a $100 rewards cards since it had been so long since I'd shopped with them and "they missed me" ;-).

You definitely have to photograph them on your lawn and show us when they arrive !

Hmmm.... for those of us who do not have real sheepies, this could be an acceptable substitute:-).

Linden, Juno and Norman said to tell you that, having seen your grass, they would volunteer to be lawn ornaments for free!

LOLOLOLOL!!! I have the one that you urged me to get years ago when they first came out!!! They are wonderful pets, don't have to be fed, shot or shorn, stay where they're told, and make great resting places for birds, raccoons and wild turkeys ! Enjoy!!!

Darn I noticed you didn't post prices...... I am supposed to be clearing out stuff, not wanting more. But I guess if I downsized some more of the real ones for those I would save money not having to buy hay.

Sounds like the rewards card could be turned into the third sheepy!! Can't wait to see where they travel on the farm - they could have adventures like 20 on BlackJack. I wonder if Hank will think they're real until he smells them? Soo many questions!

I LOVE these guys.....I own them. My husband bought them for me when I couldn't stop carrying on. They live on my deck in summer, in my house in winter. (they are a breeze to clean up after, and don't eat much either!) The grazing one is Roselyn, the baby is Maurice, and his momma is Phoebe. I know you will love them.

LOL... I can just see the "FUN" they are going to have on the farm....

I wonder how heavy they are... I might have to bring them in during the winter... I live in the Pacific Northwest and we get anywhere from 40-70 mph wind and rain at times... I can just see "Flying Sheep"... lol

It's always sooo much easier to by Christmas gifts for yourself! In fact one year I suggested our family do that, and then just share them all with the others on Christmas morning:) Needless to say, the idea didn't go over well.
