2014 Hug A Sheep Day - The Spinners

Well, almost all the spinners. Somehow the only picture I got of the Always Amazing Aaron has him eyeing his spindle with a confused look.  While I frequently look that way at my spinning, I'm pretty sure Aaron doesn't, so I "filed that circular" ;-).

And for a sneak peek at tomorrow's post...

Today's post is short because winter is arriving on the 6:00 train, so I'm scrambling around trying to get everyone ready aka "for goodness sake get that plastic and the cat condo put up on the porch and plug those heated beds in while you're at it lady!"

Thank goodness you have your priorities straight! Maybe if I watch people spinning long enough, I will learn by osmosis...

Yes, I read that the snowfall may reach all the way down to KY. Stay warm and safe.

I've just caught up on all your "Hug A Sheep Day" pictures. Oh I would love to have been there. The sheep look so sweet and friendly. Most of my life I have dreamed of having a spinning wheel and knowing how to use it. I am excited over purchasing one of your spindles.

That was such a fun way to pass the time...spinning, sheep and great human company. And I'm glad you listened to the demands of Comby, Eli and Claire Bear. I just hope that your work didn't disturb Princess Betsy.

That shawl is beautiful! I can't wait for tomorrow's post.
Good luck on the weather change. It is still mild here, which is unheard of this time of year. Not complaining :)

I love those photos of the hands! It's neat to see other people spinning and creating a unique yarn. Stay warm....

Beautiful photos showing this amazing art, with amazing results? I agree with Susan, osmosis. Must.practice.more.
In the photo just before the sneak peak (which is gorgeous), is that a tapestry weaving that someone is working on? Looks amazing.

Sorry you all will be so cold. Where I live, it will turn our weather from summertime (which at the end of October is ridiculous!) to fall.

Ah, I wish I could long draw like the spinner handling the grey roving! Are those rovings/yarns from your sheep?
