Good Mommas

As I was running through the pictures from Foxglove Farm, I realized that many I'd picked for this post had a common theme. This frequently happens if I'm paying attention. Good mommas, hard working guard dogs, napping lambs, colorful lambs...  I narrowed it down to the good momma pics for today.

The ol' mom pillow.

Classic Jacob picture - leaving ;-).  Those are some protective moms!

Love the look on this momma's face.  "You kids go play with that stick for awhile and leave me alone."

And this momma looks like she's telling her wee one a bedtime story :-).

I was so focused in on these lambs tucked in behind the log that I completely missed how awesome their moms are standing guard.  Wish they were in focus, too :-/.

The colorful black sheep from this farm contributed to the Christmas throw.  We have something fun planned for the black and white sheep this year :-).

Oh, goodness. I can hardly breathe looking at these beautiful creatures. The lambs are just adorable, and I love their protective mums. Thank you for sharing more photos of life on your farm. It's really wonderful to see these restful images.

What gorgeous photos and beautiful mamas! Your blog is absolutely inspiring. =) I am so happy that I found it. I love sheep. I paint them often in illustrative form along with my corgi dogs. Thank you so much for visiting my blog yesterday and for the kind compliment about my art. Have a blessed day!Valerie

I think you need a black sheep in your flock! Lovely photos, I think my favourite is the little ones tucked amongst the logs with their mamas standing guard.

Mama sheep with their babies are just so calming to watch/look at. It is one of those good things in life that some people just don't get. I'm jealous of your green leaves, grass and generally just that it really looks like spring.

These are some good looking lambie. Quite robust. And their mamas are evidently well taken care off. Nice flock.

Which kind of sheep are they? I like the expression on the face of the pretty oatmeal color sheep in the 5th picture. The one in the middle.

I'm not sure on all the breeds and cross breeds. Some are home bred and some are from Kathy and some from other places. It's an assortment for sure!
