I have so many fun story pictures of Hank, it may fill the blog for the rest of the week. Is that okay with everyone?
I'm losing track of which day is which...or maybe I'm just trying to block out some of the really nasty ones. I think this was Saturday morning. Was Friday night the night we had the horrible blowing snow that covered Hank's INSIDE bed? I think so.
So, when I got up there early that next morning, Hank was covered in snow, curled up in a ball right next to the stall door. His fluffy straw bed with the straw bale added to block the wind...covered in snow and even colder. It was the first time I've ever seen him look unhappy.
I quickly made him the NEW new bed (pics on Twitter) and he immediately curled up over there and wouldn't even eat his breakfast. I understood. Completely. The cold is terrible, but tolerable. The wind...just terrible.
I went back up before lunch to check on everyone. The sun was trying to peek out, so I took my camera...just in case. Everyone was starting to stir and Hank climbed out of his hideout, stretched big and headed out back. He didn't get very far.
"Let's do it again!"
And before you think cute, sweet little Tilly is going along to be supportive or play...she's just tailing him trying to figure out where he hid his latest bone!
Corgis... ;-)

Poor baby! He must have been miserable on that cold night.
What a nice set of pictures! I first thought that he may have tripped over something:-).
Yes, definitely more pictures of Hank!
Luckily Hank does'nt seem worst for ware after such a cold night. What a good dog!
Love, Ineke
Oh, I wasn't expecting the rolling. That made me laugh out loud.
Togo LOVES the cold. I promised him, when he was a little baby, panting in the Kentucky heat, that we would be moving him to a place with weather that he would be much happier with and he just loves it when it gets super cold here. He and Alaska are the only ones who do but they get pretty silly in it.
We had a break in the weather today! I don't think 30 has ever felt so warm. Hank looks so fluffy.
Anatolian shepherds sure love the snow. Our Sedona rolls and sleeps in it. I love pictures of Hank.
Love the black fence in the white snow! Stay warm! I'm afraid for is in the Midwest this exceptionally cold winter will make for an exceptionally hot summer. Or maybe that's just my psychological trick to enjoy the winter rather than wish it away :) I'd definitely rather be too cold than too hot. Although I'm not sleeping outside.
Hank embraces the meaning of "winter wonderland" indeed!!!
I'm all for more stories and pictures about Hank. He is beautiful!
And you felt sorry for him having snow in his bed, he may have snuck out and brought some back with him.
Always love pics of Hank, and Iris and Tilly too.
Hate to tell you this but just had our 10th straight day of over 70 degrees, still no rain, maybe a little due Thursday. My Daffodils and Narcissus are in bloom.
I love Hank :-)
Ya know that heat I was going to send... It's below zero, again :-o Burrr! You guys stay warm!
Cookies for all :-)
Love the photos and videos - keep taking them! I wish I had got videos of the two sheep that are sadly no longer with us. Hope you manage to keep warm. We have had lots and lots of rain this winter here in the UK and everything is very muddy. Best wishes from a soggy Herefordshire!
Drop and roll for a dog bath! At least he doesn't leave dirty snow like Beamer does when he rolls.
Anyone who doesn't want pics of Hank should be banished :) He is great. Thanks. Am still laughing over the last post with those 3 Cots and their 'Dreads' looking out of the barn door......
Take care.
Jack has been doing that every time I go out. It's like he's saying," Come on! Let's play!!!"
Love Hank stories! Does it ever get too cold for him to be outside?
