Merry Christmas From The Farmily

I was going to title this post "The Five Stages of Christmas Card Production" but once they hit the post office, it just doesn't seem quite so bad anymore and I'm pretty sure no one really wants to hear a bunch of whining about how hard it is to paint white sheep in white snow or how the barn looks like a big sucking black hole and how Eli and Claire Bear had to trade places halfway through the painting (black cat, black hole...) and Eli got crabby about that or how traumatic it was to paint Maisie and Blossom with gray faces and legs (white sheep, white snow...) instead of white faces with a pink nose or how I lost sleep over how huge Graham looks in relation to the other sheep or how hard Tim works to try to get the printed colors to match the painted colors or how I had to deal with a stray dog on my way to town and then half my teeth fell out...or maybe it was just half of one tooth...or maybe it was really just half a filling in one tooth...  It's all slowly fading into the past.

It's really not that bad of a card.  The boys did a great job on their snowman, Betsy's just looking at the neighbor kids this year and it was nice to include Peabody one last time as he was one of the reasons I painted that very first card TEN years ago :-o.  And, as Saint Tim (who has to listen to the hours of non-stop brain numbing whining year after year) was quick to point out,  the barn IS a big sucking black hole and Graham really IS that huge in real life.  True dat...  ;-)

Merry Christmas!!!

You'd think I was waiting with baited breath for this post. 15 minutes later I'm commenting: It's a great card. I love it! For all the worries, I can still make out each individual without having to cheat (well, maybe just a little). LOVE IT!!! Merry Christmas to you. lalalalala (no fa)

Merry Christmas to you and to all of your farm creatures, small and big! And Merry Christmas to St. Tim, of course!

Very thoughtful of you to include Peabody in this year's Christmas card.

Yeah, I was going to say the same thing as Tim - Graham really is that much bigger than the other sheep!

Merry Christmas to you and St. Tim and all of the critters. It's a great card after all of the trials you faced in creating it (yeah, white sheep on white snow).

LOL! Merry Christmas to you! After listening to you whine...I had to go back up to the original picture and see how you actually did paint white sheep in white snow and if the barn really looked like a big sucking black hole! The worst of it all....losing your teeth! OH MY! LOL.....now you can relax. (right?!)

Your beautiful card makes me want a farm. A sweet farm with a brown barn and dogs and sheep and horses and a cat. Merry Christmas, Sara!

Love (love, love) the card, especially with the description that comes with the key. :-) :-) :-)

I love the New Boys (plus Graham, *of course*!) "getting into things" and exploring what's new in the environment.....

A very Merry Christmas to everyone at Equinox!

As for the technical details ... you know that we are each our most severe critic............. :-) The "flaws" that can give creators a hive are often details admiring viewers will never, ever notice..... :-)

ps -- also hoping your tooth is an easy fix. Last summer I discovered one evening that the back half of one of my bottom front teeth was ... gone.

I'd had no awareness of anything happening. I only noticed that tooth was way too sharp..........

I had visions of needing all sorts of horrid things done to me, but my dentist smeared on some goo and shone a magic light on it, did a little polishing, and, hey, presto! good as new.

Hoping for the same for you!

No such luck. They are trying to fit me BACK in because something is wrong with the new filling. I have terrible teeth :-(. This is the worst one's hurt and now I can't drink coffee (hot)...so the complaints just keep coming haha ;-).

Beautiful card! We didn't even send any out this year. It just felt like too much for some reason.

I love that Maisie is so easy to identify with her long tail, and I had to look to see who was stealing the carrot.
Merry Christmas to you all!
