...because it was light enough that no one got terribly hurt. One of the old guys (white pines by the house) lost a limb, but he's still standing tall. Whew. Much of the rest of Kentucky was not so lucky and we have another storm heading our way tomorrow. Stay warm and bring out your wool!

The ice is so pretty on everything, but not when it breaks limbs, etc. I'm waiting to hear how my brothers around Elizabethtown have fared--Good I hope, and I hope you have a good evening and stay warm--The storm is headed towards us in VA.
You are right, pretty it is but lots of potential trouble as well. Everyone stay safe and warm, including Maisie:-).
11 inches of snow here in SE Missouri. Glad to have missed the ice for once.
You got a LOT more ice than we did. But you never know about this new system coming in. Good luck!
Brrrr... but the shots of the ice are beautiful. I hope you don't get ice and wind.
Ice does make for pretty pictures, but I'll take my snow (though I hope it goes away soon!). What I'm not enjoying is our cold temperatures (High of 9 today, with -14 predicted tonight). With frozen pipes, it does make taking care of the animals a challenge.
Pretty! :). Hope everyone is well and warm.
That is the kind of pretty that we can all do without. Stay safe and warm.
That's what I love about our CSL...always fining the beautiful side in every situation.
So pretty.
Stay Safe Sara. Happy wool playing.
Sunshine on the ice is so beautiful. But the ice bringing down branches, trees, and power lines ... not so much. Glad you suffered so little damage.
Yes, you are ALL correct but I still love seeing it and I have been in plenty of it. 4 deg this AM. Just a dusting of snow.
Yousa, I just got a picture from my nephews wife in OK and their cattle have 'crystal' earrings :( Not nice.
beautiful photos! We have been lucky so far with our ice storms and snowing storms but eventually we lose a limb here and there.
Makes for great photos! :)
