Yarn Along

Knitting and reading...for once a change.  Actually, two Yarn Along posts in one because I'm disorganized/behind like that.  Same project, finally finished, both with books ;-).  We'll not speak any more about the Yarn Over And Over And Over And Over post in between.

The start of my Sweet Fern Mitts from A Knitter's Book of Wool by Clara Parkes.  My Sweet Dern Iris watching over a ball of leftover Jester yarn that I knew would be perfect for this project.

"It's much easier to babysit yarn than sheep.  We should just skip the sheep part and buy our yarn I think."

Nooooooooo!  Besides, I know you're just kidding, Iris ;-).

And the finished mitts.  Resting comfortably on a new book by Clara Parkes, The Yarn Whisperer.  20 and I picked up a copy at Rhinebeck and even got the author to sign it.  She was delightful (see Twitter picture that I seem to have lost my tech ability to link to anymore :-/) and we are looking forward to reading it.

Joining in with Ginny's Yarn Along.

Good job on the mittens. It's about time Iris is a feature for a change.

I know! That's the main reason I included the start pictures :-). Can't believe how old she's looking :-(.

Oh, curse you crazysheeplady! :) Not really - but now I have to get that Knitter's Book of Wool! I have actually been looking for a resource on all things wool, so it's perfect timing. I just love old doggies. There is something almost magical about them.
