Sheep-a-palooza

The new sheep from Nistock Farms are here :-D.

A big wave from Julie as they approach :-D.

"Wonder what that black thing is she's holding up to her face?"

"I don't want to hear one word about my hair!"  ;-)

Hank appeared immediately to check out each new sheep as they came off the truck.

And once everyone was settled in and up to their eyes in green grass (what a crazy, but great July!), the adults settled in.

And once Hank was sure his new sheep were settled in, he came over to complete inspections on his new people.

"I love all my new friends."

The three faces in the middle are staying here.  The other three are headed to breeding farms.  The one in the middle is Marcel's brother :-).

It's been a Sheep-a-palooza around here!  I'm enjoying having an expert shepherd on hand for a couple days.  As a captive guest, Robin's been stuck answering questions, looking at and talking sheep til the wee hours of the night :-).  I really appreciate her knowledge, experience, the beautiful sheep she raises and her friendship.

Looks like none of them are a bit sheepish about their new diggs.:-)

Ed, you have an eye for detail! I use vinegar in my dyeing so I have lots of serviceable plastic jugs sitting around. Perfect for lugging "water from home" when travelling.

Equinox Farm is sheep Heaven! I'm so glad these kiddos are joining the flock!

Looks like Hank is ready to add them all to the fold. Such great photos and such beautiful green, green grass, can I say once more I am jealous. Those are lucky sheep to have such a beautiful new home with lots of fresh pasture. I can see them all posing for next year's calendar photos. Maybe even a coffee table book of sheep pictures or another magazine cover.

Congratulations on your new additions and company . No one looks too stressed out:-). Will they be tutored soon or are they already schooled? How nice of Robin to offer home delivery!!!

I thought maybe there was Pickled Sheep on the menu with all that vinegar.....or maybe you were going to dye the wool on the hoof?

How nice for Hank to have some new charges!

Cool new sheep!
Which breed are they? I like the fuzzy patch of hair on their forehead (last picture):-).

I too was wondering about all those vinegar bottles:-). Lots in my home as well... I use the vinegar as softener when washing clothes.

p.s. would they deliver the sheep to northern Virginia:-)? Planning on getting a few next year.

It's always fun to welcome new 4 legged additions, no matter what breed! I hope they all loved Hank as much as he loved them!

Eager to hear stories about the newcomers (and the old hands).

That Hank. What a good boy!

I love the expression on Hank's face, almost proud of himself for gaining all this additional responsibility as if he just got a promotion.

Count me in the group that was wondering about the vinegar. Now I know and hey - I may start adding it to my wash cycle as well... (what we learn on these blogs).

Hank told me he wants a raise. :)
