Better Know Your Sheep

Freshly shorn, Renny and B. Willard look very similar, being both fairly chunky, light gray sheep with black faces. Do you know an easy way to tell them apart?

Willard's (Border Leicester) ears stand up  and Renny's (Hampshire cross) ears hang down :-).

I skirted both fleeces the other day.  You know, that one day when the sun was out?  Anyway, both are really nice and I took pictures, especially of Renny's massive and pretty fleece.  However, I got to snorgle some adorable Babydoll Southdown lambs today and of course took a bunch of pictures of them.  Lambs trump wool any day :-D.

Thanks for the lesson. I was all ears ;-)

Baby lambs are pretty special to snorgle with (if you keep 'em upright). But I find the smell and touch of fleece to be just wondrous as well.

Excited to see those adorable lambies.

Beautiful shot. Is the weather still bad down there? I hope Auntie Reg is coming with you.

I never see lambs or sheep and not think of you!

It was good to see the one of Blossom and Maisie is growing like a little weed!!

Oh, let's hear it for lamb-snorgling! It should be an Olympic sport. I assume we will be seeing the snorgled lambs? Would love to see Renny's fleece, too. She's come such a long, long way.
