Some shots from The Hillside, a friend's woods overlooking the Kentucky river.
A nearly perfectly round hole in a large limestone rock. Not sure how it got there - natural or man-made? The Hillside is littered with rocks and many were used to build interesting stone walls and foundations for a cluster of old homesteads.
A rather nondescript plastic cap. Round, but photo worthy?
It's actually a miniature greenhouse!
So is this old bottle.
Some tree damage - woodpeckers or bugs?
I loved the mini trash terrariums!
In an upright stone wall, heading down a narrow lane.
I had no idea this was inside some of the rocks.
A beautiful walk in the woods.

That walk was very well rounded ! ;)
You really outdid yourself this week, these are fantastic.
Love your circles!! So interesting!. Your tree damage one is from a yellow-bellied sapsucker I'll bet. They make holes in rows like that.
really enjoyed going through all of them, loved the green house and i assume woodpecker was trying hard to track the insect :)
Oooo! you have some really cool rocks!
Circles in nature, I loved them all. :)
Yes, those are the woodpecker holes. Beautiful pictures, as always!
An original take on this challenge...very well done. Interesting to look at.
Yes, a Woodpecker ~looking for bugs.
My husband loves the rocks; I have an affinity for the 'greenhouses', the white cap the best surprise!
I agree, "very well done"!
I think you get the prize for most "natural circles" indeed. The acorn caps are my favorite but you found great circles in many places no one else would see.
Oooooh! Very clever pictures!
I especially like the circle in the upright stone wall that leads down a narrow lane. Reminds me of Alice in Wonderland :-)........and also when I touch my fingers together to say " everything's okay".
Some excellent finds! At least your woods aren't under snow! Thanks for pictures of green growing things - it's most welcome. I'd sure love to know if how those circular holes in the rocks came to be....
Wow, those some great pictures.
I particularly liked the plastic cap that turned out to be a miniture greenhouse, what a nice surprise.
Excellent! So glad you discovered what was under that cap. Neat o!
You found some really great shots, "in the round"!
What a fun and interesting take on the challenge.
Oh what a fun set of pictures. I love the ones of the bottles.
Awesome finds on your walk...I'd love to be there too! Wonderful shots all of them!
You did great! I loved the little greenhouse shot..very creative this week!! I would like to be anywhere there is no snow:)
As always, you have an excellent eye my friend. :-)
Excellent shots, I think the tree holes are woodpeckers or borer beatles..:-)
Such a fun treasure hunt. It truly seems like you enjoyed the task of finding circles and photographing them so beautifully.
