The Sheep Queen

I took this picture from up at Stella's last weekend. I thought it was so pretty, looking down on Miss Ewenice out in the yard. And I wanted to always be able to remember.

It was an honor, my dear friend.

Oh no . . . . I'm so sorry. Shedding tears now for your white queen, and again for my black queen who preceded her . . . .

Ewenice has gone to even greener pastures to be with the rest of the farm family that has gone over the rainbow bridge. She ruled with gentleness, a mother to all. Tears for both of you.

She had a good life with you. To quote Stacy Westfall- Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened

Sara, I'm so sorry. Ewenice had a long and wonderful reign. She gave you many memories, so a part of her will always be there at the farm.

Rest well Miss Ewenice. You will be missed. My favorite story is how she took such good care when Renny came. Hugs coming your way Sara - {{{{{HUGS}}}}}

The beautiful photo reminds me of Psalm 23.

A strong, gentle and guiding light has gone out. May she rest in green pastures, waiting for all the little ones she's nurtured in their good time. A hug to you.

Miss Ewenice has left a huge void in the flock. So sorry for your loss. How lucky that you and she had each other for so many years. She was so dignified - I'm glad her passing was in the same manner.

Farewell fair Ewenice, the grandest sheep queen of them all. You were an icon. I'm so glad I got to meet you. Hold your head to the sun at Rainbow Bridge and watch over all the little lost lambs for us!

I am so very sorry. If sheep can be angels, Miss Ewenice was one here on earth.

Bless her heart. She was a real sweetheart. I can't help but think she must be kicking up her heels, running and jumping in green pastures right about now. :)

I feel so privileged to have spent time with Ms. Ewenice during the past month. She has always been the perfect lady until last week when when she topped the strawberry patch which Sara has planted. I think Ewenice had a bucket list, which included being a little wild and eating strawberries. She will be missed. I plan to reflect on her life my looking at the labels which has 70 posting. I can't even imagine the loss you have got to be feeling. I know how you counted on Miss Ewenice to care for, guide and protect the new and the weak sheep in your flock. What an incredible animal she was. She will be missed by all your readers as well.

Thank you for sharing her with us!

God Speed, Miss Eunice! You have MORE than earned your freedom from the struggles of this life. May you frolic with Joy at the Bridge until the day you are reunited with your flock once again.

I wish I could give you a big hug, Sara!

I am very, very sorry to hear about the loss of your loving friend.

That is a beautiful photo, I agree. Miss Ewenice was an amazing animal, I also agree.

I am curious. You are so close to your loving flock, how do they react to such an event?

I had so much going on with visitors, here, that I didn't read these posts. I'm sorry for my silence.
We love these animals so. They are what make our lives more perfect and good.
When they have to move on, it hurts in a way that surprises us. It makes our hearts so heavy and tears don't always relieve the heaviness. It just takes time.
Hold onto the memories and find joy in what she left with you.
