Easter Lambs

There's not much better way to spend Easter. More lambing at Kathy's.

A couple days old.

A couple minutes old.

Olive lambed out on the grass and then Kathy brought her and her lambs into the barn so she could watch them and make sure all was well and then incorporate them into a play group in a couple days.

"You wouldn't believe what happened to me today!"

Hopefully this will "biggify" so you can see his sweet little mouth. I think he's probably drooling :-).

This is Davis, born during the UK game last week. It's important to be in the "basket" ;-).

Patiently waiting and enjoying the gorgeous spring weather. Wish it could last forever!

I really need to be getting some work done, but like great weather, lambing doesn't last forever either, so I'm enjoying it while it does :-).

You can never overdose on too much lambie sweetness. Very effective lighting on those sleeping babies :-)

Auggghhhh! I could just look at those pictures for ever! I just want to hug them and squeeze them to death! (Well, maybe not to death, but you get my point.)

you get such great photos, capture the moment. Love the 3rd picture of the ewe licking the lamb looking for lunch while the other lamb is hugging mom's cheek. The one peeking out of the feed pan is cute too.

Sara, your photography is AMAZING. You have the gift of making things look even better than it did in person, and, I mean, come on, a lamb is pretty good in person. Good show!

Help!!! I hope you read my blog a couple of weeks ago about the stray sheep that came to our farm and then had twins. We put her and the babies in the barn lot of protect them for a week and then she got out. She runs toward the woods every time I try to get closer to her. I am worried something will happen to the babies. I wanted to keep them and we gave them food, water, and a good safe place to sleep. Our cattle have accepted them. My Dad used to have sheep years ago and had a guard dog with them. Any ideas????

Absolutely beautiful pictures!

What sweet lamb pics. My babies are either black or dark brown, which has made getting clear pictures of them a challenge. Nothing like spending time with new lambs, is there?
